Ok this is from the SFC version. Turn on: L Button Shortcut R Button Shortcut Unit Switch If you press select while the cursor is over these it'll explain it a little (that works for everything in the whole game btw). But basically in battle if you hold L or R + a button it'll show you some info.

Oh you know what else, there are some settings you should enable in the options. They're not enabled by default but I would say they became pretty standard in the genre later. Let me find them for you.

The only thing that can kind of fuck you is unit alignment, like if you have it in your head that this soldier is going to become a knight but then you find out he's chaotic it's a pain to turn him lawful through gameplay. Probably better to just choose a unit that's already neutral or lawful.

You really can't fuck yourself, you can always buy more units or recruit them in battle. If you're in dire straits you can have two CPU teams auto train against each other for XP, though I would say try not to over level the story content because the challenge is a big part of the fun IMO.

But for the most part you can figure it out. Remember, if Denim ever dies you insta-lose, no turn countdown, so be careful with him. The AI WILL gang up on him whenever they can! Also decide early if you're restarting to save units or not and stick to it. This is not unlike playing Fire Emblem.

I would suggest just going in totally blind, other than doing the entire in-game optional tutorial, and if anything in there is unclear (possibly due to bad translation) you can look that up. It is helpful to understand things like terrain elements and the effects they have in combat.

You do not get these stats redistributed if you change classes later, so if you have a unit level to 20 as a knight and then change them to a wizard, they will be the strongest, dumbest wizard possible. This might sound restrictive, BUT it also opens up opportunities to create some neat units.

If you must play the SFC one make a save state after each fight and keep them safe just in case you need to revert. Now as for the game itself, the biggest thing to understand is how unit stats are increased on level up. Each class will permanently add stats to a unit each time it levels up.

I was playing on real hardware too (which TBH might have made it worse since I'm sure it was developed on an emulator from the late 00s). The SFC one plays smoother but I would recommend playing the PS1 version instead for this very reason. Or maybe the recent Saturn translation if possible.

Be very careful with that one, the romhack has a bug where unit stats can be reset to base zero after a mission and another one that just eats saves. It happened to me and I ended up downloading a PS1 save and completing it there.

Have you ever tried using plan mode with the higher models and then executing the plan with the lower ones? We've seen that work very well and result in some savings.

We got a Pacifica PHEV last year and only bought new because of the tax credit that expired a few weeks later. Wanted to get a certified used Tuscon PHEV for my wife and they don't sell it in our state anymore which made it hard. Also found out Chrysler stopped making the Pacifica PHEV entirely.

Some people fixed it by baking the whole thing, but those people aren't weirdos who bought a hot air rework station for retro mods! 😄 So yeah I took it apart and put the air on it and it works great now

Looking into it I found that it's a common thing with that model and that over time the vibration of the car cracks the solder on the FM chip on the board, which is why it starts working after it heats up, but it only gets worse.

@jeffchen.bsky.social just needed to share this with someone who can appreciate it. The AM/FM in my wife's 12 year old car was being erratic, would start not working and then just come on after a few minutes. Satellite, CD, Bluetooth all worked fine.
