1) I'm 100% here for "petty academia" lol 2) As a pleb, I don't care what citation type the writer uses as long as they are consistent throughout the paper. I just want to be able to find the source material. (I want the rabbit hole) 3) footnotes are not used nearly enough in recent years.

Whilst I agree with the intent behind this post, the delivery falls very short. The term "spirit animal" is a poor colonial descriptor made by early anthropologists regarding the beliefs of indigenous cultures who are actively fighting genocide today. It is a bigoted term and should not be used.

Take them to the vet. A couple years ago my old girl was really needy for days when she was never a needy cat. Turns out she had cancer and passed a few months later. Don't wait. Cats are so good at hiding their problems in snuggles.

Kinda bland, but sticking a dollar store placemat under my coffeemaker makes it easy to slide it out from under the cupboard and back again without spilling the anything. Plus, can pour my coffee on it and it helps keep the counter safe from morning coffee splooshes.
