Because of $$$, if individuals can make their own electricity then they don’t need to power company as much. We would still need power companies to maintain infrastructure and produce some power to fill the gap but overall their business would shrink. They don’t like that.

I think this whole process gave me more empathy to MAGA. Platner is a troubled guy with a checkered past. But I agreed with him on almost every issue. I was willing to overlook his history because of his policy positions. Very similar to a MAGA.

Yea and one of them was Janet Mills a Schumer backed candidate who didn’t even want to run. Platner was gaining popularity because he was an anti establishment figure and Dem leadership put up an extreme establishment figure as an alternative.

I see your point but I think there are two ways to build a coalition. 1) Mamdani method- have strong beliefs and fight for the middle and working class. 2) Petes method - split the middle and hope to pull independent voters and not upset anyone. Personally I want a fighter.
