Celie chuckles. "Well, I should have guessed Lari would love you, but Niya's completely smitten with you too, so you're alright." Her words are teasing, and he grins at her in response. "I know it's far from my place, but in lieu of the normal talks one might get from the sibling of a partner of threats not to hurt him, might you make me a promise instead?" She asks, an apologetic smile on her face.

Eheeya blinks, looking down at her. "A promise?"

She turns, seeing that Leon is fully preoccupied talking to Niya now, certainly not out of earshot but at least his attention seems far away enough so as to not hear their words. She tucks her arms behind her and sighs.

"I know I kept making jokes about how he didn't want to introduce us formally or to tell me what you are to him, but… when I see the way he is when he talks about you, I can tell how he feels. And that's why a big part of this is less me threatening and more me /begging/," she admits softly, and Eheeya's brow knits.

He chooses to say nothing, but she looks up at him with a sadness in her eyes and behind her smile that he knows all too well.

Celie snorts at his use of her turn-of-phrase, but when their gazes meet she gives him a warm smile and reaches out to pat him on the arm. "Well… he certainly loves you. And apparently so do both my kits, so I fear you might be stuck with us."

"No less than you're stuck with me," he winks, snagging her hand in the crook of his elbow and she laughs, shaking her head and looping her arm through his.

Using her powers always came with risks, and apparently sometimes those risks also included being out of practice and overly-reckless enough to result in significant bodily harm. She tugs through her still-damp hair in an effort to bring it up into a ponytail as normal, though her motions are far from their usual level of care. Everything feels slow, detached. She isn't sure if it's the situation as a whole, or just the fact that she's still mentally exhausted, too. Even then, it only took a few days before she felt disgusting enough to force herself out from under the covers. She knows she can't be afforded any more of a break anyways, these last few days have already been enough. /As before, one foot in front of the other./ Literally and metaphorically, even if her entire left side is still extremely sore.

/Well, turns out getting hit by a train isn't so good for you, after all./

It's not a sound any of them have heard before, and the speed at which most of the necks in the room whip towards her is downright comical. The look that follows and sends them all turning away again at even greater haste is even more so.

She can definitely tell Thancred knows (if simply going by the smirk on his face), but he also knows that he'd regret any comments he might make, so he keeps his mouth shut. Even Krile's /'Good morning, Raha,'/ had been with a small smirk.

She's content just to hold him for a while, eventually pulling back only the barest few ilms to fret over him a bit, brushing some strands away from his face lovingly for a moment so she might look into both his eyes. He'd fantasized about exactly this sort of moment more than once after all, and he easily finds himself falling a little deeper as she absentmindedly runs her fingers through his hair. He could fall asleep like this, and he's almost tempted to do so.

She leans over and her lips brush his forehead, her hand absentmindedly reaching to pet his ear before she halts as if remembering that the act was likely something she should receive permission for, and not just doing it. She'd do the same for any of the other miqo'te she knew after all, not to mention that outside of maybe having to touch his ears to heal an injury, this is an entirely selfish desire of hers.

"Oh. May I?" She asks, fingertips shaking as much as her voice as they brush the edge of one.

It doesn't take long until she finds them. She touches the slight dip in his fur, finds the part underneath that yet hurts a little, the skin still a bit raw. She pulls back slightly, looking at him in concern. "What happened?"

"… I'd been in the habit of fastening them down for a time." He pauses, as if he's afraid to admit what he says next. "As how I bound my tail. I… I couldn't risk giving myself away."

"I won't." He says it like a promise, melting into her touch and bumping his forehead against her. /This/ action she knows, and she nuzzles her chin and nose into his hair in return.

They are in her Pendants apartment in one of the corners by the window. The night sky can be seen clearly outside. It's the night after Emet-Selch's defeat, and while the celebrations likely still linger across the Shard, they clearly left the party a while ago. The apartment appears very well-lived-in, the corner itself made up more like a burrow or nest and decked out with a blanket, cushions, stuffed toys, scattered and stacked tomes and other miscellany. Plants and lanterns hang from the walls, providing soft blues and pinks to illuminate them since the lights in the room itself are off. (None of the decor is "renter-friendly" and she definitely got away with more than she should have in the process of decorating this space, not that he would have stopped her anyways lol.)

He is sitting with her in the little floor nest with his back against the cushions, relaxed and comfortably stretched out holding her in his arms where she rests propped up against him. Her hand is on his chest, her eyes closed in contentment. Two steaming cups of tea and an open book sit on the sill off behind him as though they'd made an effort to read something together, but decided to cuddle instead.

finally got into the nitty-gritty playing around with the furniture spawning in brio tonight (had before, but never quite to this degree) and can i just. 😭 whoever you are. thank you for your service. this is everything i ever wanted.

The man looks at him in confusion before remembering that each time they've met here, it's always Leon arriving with him already home. Why he suddenly feels so shy about it, he's not sure either. "My, uh… my apartment key. I know you said you stay with your sister, but if you ever wanted to get away and I'm not here, then…" he trails off, waving his hand dismissively and finding a suddenly /very/ interesting piece of lint on the floor to stare at.

He can already feel his cheeks heating up. /Is this too soon? What if he thinks it's too much?/ When he doesn't get a response for a few seconds, he looks back up with a pang of anxiety until he sees what he can only describe as a look of affectionately shocked wonder on the Veena's face.

Leon steps in close, towering over him where he's sitting, and moves down to press their foreheads together. "Thank you," he responds and he moves forward for a kiss until his linkpearl very rudely interrupts. He smiles apologetically and leans in for a small peck anyways. "Sorry. I'm already late, but… I'll be back later?"

Eheeya hums with a small nod. "Be safe."

"I will."

Leon backs away and answers his linkpearl with a hilariously downtrodden-sounding "I'm so sorry, I overslept," while placing the key into the part of his pack that Eheeya knows is where he keeps his self-proclaimed 'important things', and rushes out the door with one last wave.

A simple gpose of the user's Warrior of Light (a dark-haired Veena Viera) and the NPC G'raha Tia. They are sitting on the scaffolding at Saint Coinach's Find, high up off the ground. Her arms are drooped over her front and across her lap as she sleeps on his shoulder comfortably. He smiles down at her shyly, pressing his cheek onto the top of her head.

"Speak for yourself! I might not have the physical strength to wield a sword, but I'm still a Viera with a strong jump!" She scrunches her nose at him with a playful smile. It isn't long before he's climbing up the wooden ladders and extending a hand to her, helping her up onto the walkway. She smiles fondly out at the town in the distance as she sits, kicking her legs as they dangle over the edge. He sits beside her, and she happily presses herself into his side for a few seconds as a friendly gesture.

She'd done it twice before now - each time in a moment where she'd seemed particularly happy to just be - and he can't help but wonder if it's just a quirk of hers or perhaps a Viera behavior. In the long run he doesn't care as he chuckles, this time deciding to return it just as she does it. She blinks at him once, then twice before her ears twitch and she beams, seeming pleased.

"Would you tell me about where you're from? Or about The Northern Empty?" She asks curiously, bumping her shoulder against his with how close they are.

How could I ever deny you?

G'raha leans back slightly, getting comfortable. "Ah, but only if you promise to tell me about one of your adventures in turn. A tale for a tale." His dual-colored eyes are fixed keenly on her.

"Yes, though not all of them are accessible to the public," he says, and begins to describe to her the intricate labyrinth of the Noumenon with its neverending wealth of knowledge and his tendency to get lost inside until late at night. Despite her gusto and her questions, it isn't long before a weight droops against his shoulder likely aided from the alcohol before - or perhaps the physical exertions from her foray into the Tower. He freezes but she just rests further against him, evidently already comfortable enough with him after the last few days of friendship. She doesn't seem to notice the racing of his heartbeat - or maybe she does and just doesn't mind - so he relaxes, selfishly choosing to enjoy this moment thinking that the future might never bring him another.

While she reads, phantoms from her imagination can be seen behind her in the form of her parents - her mother dressed in a fancy golden gown and tiara, and her father also dressed to the nines reaching up to take the Warrior of Light's hand in his own presumably to kiss the back of her palm, like a prince from a fable seeing his princess for the first time at the ball.

They still do, but… happier now, of course. Back then, before I knew she was still alive, it was like whenever I saw them I would feel like I still had her with me."

Eheeya inhales through his teeth, a hiss. "I know this was a couple months ago now, but... There's no hard feelings for me technically trying to kill you both, right?"

Leon snorts, then erupts into laughter before pulling the bright-haired man closer. "I think I owe a significant new part of my life to your failed murder attempt. Besides," he pecks a playful kiss to the other's lips, "no offense, but we kicked your butt."

Defiantly, Alisaie keeps her grip. Celie blinks down at her, but something in the girl's expression must tell Celie that she at the very least knows something is /wrong/, and so she shoves her face back into her friend's shoulder with a stubborn huff. She can't help but laugh, leaning her head against Alisaie's and rocking slightly on her heels with her in her arms. "Exactly what I needed," she murmurs, and the younger Leveilleur just chuckles.

"I knew it," she quips, the tips of her ears and cheeks painting crimson when Celie leans over and pecks the side of her head.

"Thank you," Celie whispers, and Alisaie nods, pressing herself impossibly closer into the embrace. The realization bounces easily between both of them, moreso than it ever has before. The word /family/ would always mean more to Celie than anything. Being upset about the way of things? Fine to be, as long as she remembers what really matters, and that's far easier in a moment like this where her family, her loved ones, could be in her arms.

Y'shtola smiles at the both of them from where she stands beside Urianger looking a little too smug for her own good, but Celie returns it earnestly. The simple reassurance of them all being safe in this moment could make her cry all over again, at least in relief this time.

When Alisaie finally parts from her, she reaches out and brushes a few strands of white locks behind the young Elezen's ear. "I'm so proud of you," Celie says softly, just for the both of them to hear, and Alisaie's sharp little breath and bashful expression would make her laugh in any other moment. "I'm so, /so/ proud."
