“Urk… Probably, yes…” Her gaze went downcast. She’s immensely stressed as is. “It’s why I can’t stay long. I need to hurry and hide somewhere safe.”

Ashanti pressed her lips together tightly before sighing in defeat. “I’m not sure if I do… I… I am one of the many spouses of a cult leader back home. Hierophant Judas is sure to notice I’m gone by the morning sunrise and send someone to fetch me.”

“Water?” she repeated as she stopped petting Buckley to stand up and stretch. “Sure! I’ll be right back.” And so, the drow woman turned heel to leave past the big double doors in the back of the church. She’d emerge moments later with a glass filled with water, handing it over to Brandy.

“Aren’t you warm?” she asked with a small tilt of her head. “I mean, I guess the church is a little chilly… But…” she trailed off.

Ashanti can tell she made things a bit awkward with admitting to that. Though, she doesn’t want to lie and say Judas is a good man and that everything’s fine… “Sorry.” she looked up and beamed a smile. “Your dog is very friendly!” a change of subject.
