A paper submitted for the upcoming AES Convention next month in Long Beach. The first paper written under my consulting company Sean Olive Audio Consulting in collaboration with Dan Clark Audio. Expect more papers to come including ones based on research with @rtings.com.web.brid.gy.

"Severance" is great for so many reasons, but God DAMN the cinematography in the latest episode is simply some of the most astoundingly excellent I've ever seen. Both in a standalone sense and in how it adds to the story. Absolute art

Anyone know any good reviews of the Edelkrone JibOne that are NOT sponsored by Edelkrone themselves? Kinda shocking how hard it is to find a "review" that wasn't sponsored by the manufacturer of the product being reviewed

I'm really wanting to get an RTX 5000 series GPU, but not for gaming performance, I'm honestly just really excited that they've added native 10 bit 4:2:2 video encode/decode support to the NVENC encoder. That could be a HUGE upgrade for editing

I hate the over-focus on ✨AI in phones currently If I want to generate images or format text there's dozens of tools already. I just want to know if the new phone has camera improvements, a bigger battery, I don't care at all whether it can hallucinate meeting summaries or turn my dog into a cartoon

Some tracks from the likes of Adam Bałdych are recorded and mixed so well that it makes whatever you listen to next sound outright bad. And others like Stimming or Max Cooper you'll hear something and think "How many layers of automation did you have to set up to get that so goddamn perfect...".
