I am disgusted by what is clearly yet another scam by the Trump administration to seize short term gains for the already-rich at the expense of struggling Americans and future generations. SHAME. Time for a #SketchoftheWeek! I spotted this scene on a local trail called ELV. It's decorated with little garden gnomes. Two golden-mantled ground squirrels were reasserting their sovereignty over the stump.

This hillside was entirely lupins. Only a few were flowering. Across the drainages buckwheat, penstemon, and gilia mixed in. It was a humbling experience.
