I agree completely, I think the biggest issue to me is they both tried to have close up doll-esque details in the clothing (like how big the threads are) and put a ton of really intricate elements that dont make a lot of sense from a materials and clothing construction standpoint -

it sucks because reducing goji to just a reptile takes away a lot of the unique charm the design has that makes it actually stand out amongst the horde of reptile kaiju, like godzilla as a design is so iconic for more reasons than just being one of the first!
