Continuing our dommy mommy Fire Emblem story playthru. After stream today, I'll be allowing myself to play through one of the other champions stories casually because I REALLY cannot hold myself to only twice a week.

This may be me or a fomo issue, but with the nail in OnKey's coffin and all the drama around it, I don't want to think or see anything about OffKai. It actually triggers a similar negative vibe as it feels like there's no longer an alternative to missing out.

OnKey dropped a Google Docey and all I'm hearing about is a yacht. So probably going to read through it before we do Ranked Fall Guys tonight. I'm already deep enough in these weeds.

So, went to a new retro game store over the weekend. It had retro games, retro consoles, plushes ... ROM hacks being sold on physical cartridges, AI gen pokemon wallscrolls and AI gen deskmats. So, I don't think I'll returning anytime soon.

I'll be going live a little early to first talk about OnKey Expo's announcements, complain about Ace Attorney's 25th anniversary, then playing more Fire Emblem!

That is also my worry 100%. I've worked most cons in the northeast and just getting off the ground with a con lately is difficult. We've lost two small cons just this past year.

25th anniversary and we got ... a piece of new artwork.

I know it's cope, but I'm dreading the day I have to stop playing Fall Guys cause they're pulling the same shit

Later I'll be finishing the FF Resonance Demo, any extra time afterwards I want to spend telling stories as I realize how few tales I've told people and as an unc geek, I have many.

Will be starting bean stream a little late as I'm currently still eating dinner and food is important, so expect to go live around 7:15ish for Fall Guys!

Honestly, the OoT artstyle takes are hilarious. I got Wind Waker in college and it got so much vitriol for it's cel-shaded cartoon artstyle that a lot of people didn't even play it for a few years.

Monday is going to remain my DBD night for a little while until we get some Fire Emblem. We also have a Nintendo Direct later this week that I'm going to try and be live for (hopefully). See you at 7pm!

Alright. Before we try out the FF:Resonance demo, we're going to be making a BINGO sheet for the Nintendo Direct on Wednesday. I usually make these and post later, but we got time. We need to dream big!!!

I'm not saying genuine friendships aren't still made, it's only numbers, etc. Obviously not. I do think that it's an accepted aspect of the career. 'You're X big, therefore you'll collab more often with X creators.' or 'You play X game, so you must know all that X game streamers'

Gogglecandy - VTuber Attorney Overlord @gogglecandy.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Whereas high school is was mostly clout, there is an aspect to content creation where this is someone's job. Their livelihood. Bringing in people of a similar size, hanging out, collabing; those help their career. It's one reason I tend to hesitate in trying to make a connection.

Gogglecandy - VTuber Attorney Overlord @gogglecandy.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Permission to hot take? I know I'm partially overthinking things, but making friends in content creation reminds me a lot of high school. Yes, you can make friends with anyone and being in similar events and clubs can help you bridge gaps, but there is (and isn't) still a popular kids group...

Let's look at the positive. Your fire resistance stat probably improved after all that.

I got some media to watch, some IRL updates to give, then some ranked beans to play tonight! Many updates!

It feels like it's been a long time, but tonight I'm doing some scratched mirror Myers streaming. Can I scare at least one TTV? ... can I get a TTV in a lobby?!

I've got one last day of vacation before I go back to work, so I'm spending tonight with the partner, then tomorrow myself, @ashenpr1nce.bsky.social and @kyger.bsky.social will be playing some DBD together. After that, normal schedule will continue into Fire Emblem!

It's been a minute since we've had bean time, so I'll talk beans, weird gamestop encounters, fail lunch attempts, then maybe we'll end with some ReStory vibes.

I'm not particularly drawn to any one of the energy drink companies like G-Fuel or Gamersupps, but if either of them make a drink that tastes like this, customer for life. No question.

So I finished the scheduled invisalign treatment and just need to do a few months of nighttime retainer, but my dentist wanted me to do 2-3 months of additional because 'your lower isn't perfectly curved'. Is it healthy? Then IDGAF about aesthetics! I hate these things!

Some convention wrap up from the weekend paired with some mental health talk while we play more ReStory cause I really need some mindless repair work (if that makes sense?)

Reminder: I'll be gone all weekend running events at Another Anime Con in NH w/ Misbehayden. If you'll be there, come find me at one of the cosplay events. Otherwise, I'll come back with stories on Monday. JERONA!
