Gifts from my sister! I never did finish the B-sides to RE2R, I guess I should get on that.

A screenshot of my Steam library showing that Resident Evil 3 (Remake) and Resident Evil 4 (Remake) were both recently added to my library. Also Resident Evil Resistance but I don't think anyone plays it anymore anyway.

Made a birthday breakfast and am looking forward to reading my birthday gift from @dreadwyrmtai.bsky.social!

I finally finished the currently available Livi Talbot series and wow. It's been plucking away at this between the end of my wife's pregnancy and late nights with the newborn and all I can say is phenomenal. I adored this adventure and the personal stakes, and came away so satisfied.

How I'm attempting work this morning.

My baby girl is held against my side, asleep. You can clearly see my work laptop on my desk, which is hard to reach when you have a baby on your arm. Mira from KPDH appears twice as well, once on my desk mat and once on my sweater.

A friend got me my first desk mat at a local markets market! I've been eyeing it for a while 🥹

Dad gave me an old beat up dart board so I could practice at home, and I got it set up today! Took the better part of an hour to hit every number from 1 to 20 and ending on a bullseye. Hopefully I can bring that down with practice lol

An old beat up dart board surrounded by protective foam. Three darts are stuck in the board - one in the wedge for 12, one on the edge of the board by the number 17, and one directly inside the inner bullseye.

I can't tell if this was the best or worst book to finish reading at 5am waiting for my 2 week old daughter to settle down so I could get a couple more hours of sleep, but it sure kept me up. Absolutely amazing read from start to finish, seeing the relationships clash and hoo boy that ending.

And final! We also replaced the light fixture, but the glass bowl cracked as we put it on, so we have to get another new one :( Still, the room looks amazing, and so cozy. I'm so excited to bring baby into it 🥹

The room is put back together but less cluttered. There's a white chair in the left corner, a shelf and rolling cart on either side of it. There's some plastic shelves near the door, and a bassinet full of plushies on the right.

Dad brought his ladder to help reach the high areas. (AA fandom knows how important these are)

I guess Spotify thinks 6:30am on a Wednesday has Gotta Go Fast.

A Spotify daylist playlist entitled "Unrestrained Speed Wednesday Early Morning" and includes a bunch of Sonic soundtrack songs such as "I Am All of Me", "Infinite", and "Live & Learn".

Apparently I was a chapter away from finishing this book too, so two in one day! An easy and fun read, low stakes, occasionally a touch depressing, but always moving forward. Generally delightful! I'll have to read the next one!

Finally got around to finishing Bloodmarked after leaving it half read for months. I felt a little frustrated about it in the middle but it turned very intentional in the back third and I liked how it ended. Gotta pick up the third one soon!

I'm really enjoying CrossCode. And not just for the below references, but the game just continues to be delightful. I just finished Chapter 8!

A screenshot of CrossCode showing an enemy named "Blue Hedgehag", which drops a Chili Dog and a Golden Ring. It's a reference to Sonic the Hedgehog.

A screenshot of an in-game achievement for CrossCode called "The None-Winged Devil", earned by defeating "Sephisloth". It's a reference to Sephiroth. The battle includes the giant mecha slot summoning a long, thin sword, similar to Sephiroth's Masamune.

A screenshot of a text pop-up in CrossCode. It reads "Some ancient gibberish you can't make out. But there is a sequence of arrows below:". The arrows point Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B. It's the Konami Code.

Despite being busy moving, I've still been reading during quiet times at work. Finished the second of @skyladawn.ca's Livi Talbot books and looking forward to 2.5 and 3, and started one of @kristadb1.bsky.social's series! I love these women already and it's only Chapter 4

Well this was fun to come home to.

Footprints in snow leading to a snow covered staircase. Presumably there should be a sidewalk and maybe even a street under the snow but you can't see it.

My foot at least a foot deep straight down into the snow.

Just finished @skyladawn.ca's first Livi Talbot book and it was super fun 👀 fast paced, fun characters, and doesn't run over long. Instant fan of Single Mom Tomb Raider, and the rest of the series is on my wishlist! I'm running out of ebooks I bought over Christmas and those might be next!
