And Black. Here's a "detail" about the smallpox epidemic that enabled Cortez's conquest of Mexico:

p204 of Diaz's " Conquest of Mexico".

"Navarez brought with him a Negro who was in the small pox; an unfortunate importation for that country ..."

Cuisine of the pre-Columbian Mediterranean. (Pythagoras would not approve, though)

Broad beans, cooked in olive oil, with garlic & fennel seeds.

I can still do it ! I'm looking forward to counting how many are in this bag, tomorrow.

A bag containing an unknown number of potatoes

Indeed. Here is a verbatim quote from His Father (who He also is): “And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.” (Genesis 9:15)

Ragworms (genus Neresis - big fierce marine worms, with lots of legs & vicious jaws) reproduce by BURSTING. They completely fill with eggs, or sperm (as the case may be), gather for sex parties under the full moon, & get so excited that they EXPLODE ! Nereis vexillosa share.google/FYMZl9v4btzs...

What I said in the post - but with a lot more words, & scientific terms.

I'm reading this book at the moment👇. Very revelatory. As well as the massive corruption & theft, I also noticed that "potlatch" and "moka" (as described in anthropology texts) is still very much alive & well, among those who have far more than they need.
