🛳️💥 Two commercial ships were hit by drones off Bulgaria. Togo-flagged Alfa Watan sank about 70 nautical miles off Bulgaria, with its crew still missing. Able vessel caught fire and its 18 crew were rescued, some injured. The origin of the drones remains unknown.

Russia has attacked two cargo ships in Bulgaria’s EEZ. One ship had departed Romania and was sailing to Türkiye. The other departed Egypt and was also sailing to Romania. The Turkish-owned ALFA WATAN sank after it was hit. This is a major escalation, as neither vessel was sailing to or from Ukraine.
