The Birds, a favorite film of mine, from any genre.

Very good movie but heartbreaking!

This one stayed with me. Nice room for discussion.

@screamqueenz.bsky.social Do you watch the Scream movies? I like them as a franchise as, although uneven, I've found all of them to at least be decent. The latest one is pretty weak. Definitely ranked #7. Unless they come up with something brilliant, time to call it a wrap!

Just listened to this. I saw this once, didn't care for it. Much as you said, I had no rooting interest in the main character. You also mentioned Tuc Watkins. One of his big claims to fame here in the US was as a very popular character on the soap One Life to Live.

I thought it was interesting. It wasn't really scary and, at times, very confusing. Yet, my daughter absolutely loved it.

I loved it! I found it very creepy. What a beautiful dog!

Glad to read this. I'm seeing it later today.

I liked it but I didn't find it scary. Too bad the Oscars don't generally reward horror films. Would love to see Amy Madigan with a supporting nod. Loved her (as I usually do)!

@screamqueenz.bsky.social Went to see Final Destination: Bloodlines. I liked it better than most of the other entries. It turned out to be pretty funny.

I love this movie! I watch it once a year, during the winter. I try to wait for a cold, snowy day so I have the perfect atmosphere. While in college, I stopped by a shop that specialized in original, one sheet movie posters, and I found this one. I happily have it in my collection as well as the DVD

Had no clue. Took a wild guess to try to pinpoint a year and got it in 3.

I'm seeing "Sinners" again as well. My daughter and I are going this morning.

@screamqueenz.bsky.social I was thinking of you today when I went to see "Until Dawn". The characters kept saying "Survive the night." I kept thinking "Fight or flight, survive the night."The movie was ok. It passed the time but, for me, nothing special. I liked the performances though.

First time playing and, to be honest, I was a little confused. I figured it out, though, and was able to solve.

I hope so. The film worked on so many different levels, it could have existed without the vampires, and I still would have loved it!

This movie was stunning! So beautifully shot. It looked like so much care was put into this production. The fact that it's a horror movie will probably hurt its chances, but, in my opinion, it is definitely Oscar worthy!

@screamqueenz.bsky.social Your recent viewing of "Sssss", put me in the mood for another Heather Menzies creature feature. I enjoyed an afternoon viewing of "Piranha", another fun favorite. I love "Alligator" as well, but, sadly, no Heather.

This is my favorite of the Agatha Christie adaptations, followed closely by And Then There Were None (1945) and Witness for the Prosecution (1957). Also, love the poster!
