Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 03/10/2026Went up to the attic to get something and there was a bat staring straight at me. Big NOPE. 140
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 03/10/2026It seems to have been widely reported in Israel this week, but is total news to me, and it seems, everyone in Ireland. You'd imagine if it was a substantial enough claim it would have been more widely reported - like the very audible monkey noises made towards Idah. 020
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 01/10/2026Hard to recall a goal like it as long as I've been watching Ireland. To look around for help, see none, and then do it all himself. Incredible goal! 010
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 01/10/2026The AEW Dynamite tribute to PAC was outstanding. So many powerful moments; Ospreay's black arrow, the DR entrances, Marina in the Newcastle shirt, Creed breaking down and being comforted by Nana. Wrestling is a funny old past-time but in its greatest moments, never fails to lift your spirits. 0100
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 30/09/2026The FAI Oireachtas meeting going about as well as to be expected. As in, not well at all. 130
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 30/09/2026There's more than enough evidence at this point that we are living in the worst possible timeline. 062
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 29/09/2026I'm in my first proper dynasty league this year and it's all I can think about. I'm 0-3 and preparing for next year already! 100
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 29/09/2026I've largely tuned out of the City stuff as Ireland have preoccupied my limited brain capacity. But my God. They're fucked! 090
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 29/09/2026It's that time of year where I try and fail to keep up with the MLB playoffs. 001
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 28/09/2026Shook to wake to the news of the passing of Ben Satterley, the Bastard Pac. Another great wrestler and even better human being lost. 030
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 27/09/2026Whatever the worst case scenario was for this international break, Ireland have managed to find it. Distraction, splits an in-fighting, while the game goes ahead anyway. Israelis can't believe their luck. 090
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 26/09/2026It's a fascinating status to me. I get being centre or centre right, but if you believe in right or wrong then what's your issue here? Even if you're sympathetic to Israel. Is it purely contrarion? 030
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 26/09/2026Always fascinated by the Irish commentariot that 1) are (or purport themselves to be) religious, 2) inherently make everything political - but challenge Ireland's stance on the killing of children in Gaza + making sport/art political. 120
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 26/09/2026Is the Ireland thing resonating anywhere? Maybe if they had boycotted the game it would have taken off. But it seems most reporting is dominated by Man City. 140
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 24/09/2026Ireland, unsurprisingly dreadful tonight. Hard to see a future for this manager - five centre backs versus Kosovo, who in fairness were pretty good, and an utterly woeful approach to football. Yet it looks like we're tied to him til 2028. 140

Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 21/09/2026The Ireland Israel thing is an absolute shitshow, let down once again by leadership. I have so much sympathy for the team. The game shouldn't be going ahead, but if it does, I will feel very uncomfortable with the blowback the players will inevitably get from some quarters. 291
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 21/09/2026It's OK to think Wirtz has been good in some areas while also expecting more end product from him, especially given the fee paid. 330
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Good win in the end ahead of the break. Still not fully sure if its that unsustainable type of winning we started last season with, but signs are... OK. 020
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Araujo is so much more mobile and tidy on the ball than I was expecting. Which I should've given him more credit for, coming from Barca. Super signing. 4111
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Sounds like Carragher on Sky (although a lot of what he says is justified). 000
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Gakpo once again forcing something into existence. He's having a good season so far. 060
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Nothing can go through Wirtz and this midfield. It's astonishing. 020
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026Irish towns excitedly unveil new public spaces and regeneration and it's always just white concrete. 010
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 20/09/2026The state of Sheeran's mealy mouthed, teleprompter speech last night. An utter doofus. 0111
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 19/09/2026I presume it's less her and more so the WWE writers trying to force something they saw working elsewhere? It's just hilariously on the nose. 160
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 19/09/2026Almost every clip I see from US sports television is infuriating. I don't know you guys watch it. 042
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 17/09/2026Any Irish (or otherwise) sports fans who enjoy chatting sport and other things with like minded people - let me know, I have the WhatsApp group for you. Think the early days of Twitter but better. 010
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 16/09/2026Last plug for this - words on sports journalism standards in the US. While you're there, I'd love if you could subscribe to the newsletter! 010
Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 15/09/2026ED SHEERAN HAD THIS MANY IRISH ARTISTS AND STILL SCABBED OUT??! 070

Kevin Coleman @gobb.ie · 15/09/2026Irish sports coverage is generally always - or at least wants to be seen to be - virtuous and principled. That's good and equates to my own values. But I'm increasingly finding it a bit too sanctimonious and, often, Only When It Suits Them. 020
