I got to spend the morning learning botanical illustration techniques from the acclaimed illustrator Wendy Hollender. Thanks, @gnsiart.bsky.social for organizing the workshop.
A somewhat messy workspace littered with coloured pencils. On the right is a pad of watercolour paper with a partially finished drawing of fringed loosestrife. The plant itself with paired yellow dangling flowers sits in a shotglass water in the corner of the page. A laptop sits to the left showing a zoom drawing workshop on the screen. Behind everything is the verdant forest seen through the screen windows of a porch. Looking down on the partially finished coloured pencil drawing of fringed loosestrife, it's paired yellow follows and opposite green leave sitting in a shotglass of water in the top left of the page.
