If you can, PLEASE donate anything to my Ko-Fi. My graphic tablet is very close to death and it takes ages to draw even a single sticker with it. I already saved up a bit, but I'm still a good several tens of bucks short of getting even an older and used Kamvas... ko-fi.com/gnegongalek

Engaging read on how the Bugs Bunny cartoon What’s Opera, Doc? was made. “To get the extra work done, Jones and his crew secretly shaved a couple weeks off other, easier films and faked their time cards. It was something they did on occasion.” [animationobsessive.substack.com]

Why ‘What’s Opera, Doc?’ Looks Like That

It’s one of the really famous cartoons. If you’re reading this newsletter, you’ve probably watched it yourself. After almost 70 years, What’s Opera, Doc? endures.

itty bitty bunny Lilith! For this piece I started with a sketch of the righthand illustration but once I finished it I realised the composition was terrible for posting. To circumvent this I decided to add the large line art that backdrops the left to mask the empty unused space on the right side.

New Metroid game looks sick

Drawing of Samus absorbing her enemy's power. The title says Metroid Girl Dinner instead of Metroid Ravenous

it's always weird to me,being reminded how big of a deal TLoZ:OoT is to the majority of players. back when I went to the arcade to rent hours on their N64, this was the one game that looked pretty cool but I could just never get into its gameplay and world and stuff so I'd always pick something else

In the new quake expansion there is a shambler variant that has a big metal collar on, presumably having broken out of being in chains, but when I first saw it I thought it was wearing a cute pointy hat like it was in costume at a renaissance fair.

work in progress I still don't feel like I've spent a long time doing animation, but one thing I found out is that if flat-colored "blobs" are readable, then the animation will prolly be good #jazzjackrabbit #pixelart #pixelanimation #spriteanimation #wip #gamemodding #gamedev #jj2plus #demondash

Pixar receives a $26.2 Million Tax credit to keep film jobs in CA, and immediately lays off 10% of its work force, after making over a billion from Toy Story 5, the highest-grossing film of 2026.

State tax incentives should create and retain jobs for Californians, not subsidize corporate layoffs.

TikTok has incredible moderation team. Our InfoWars video about Multiple Horse Theory — the idea that there are many horses in the world and not just one — has been fully deemed misinformation and lost the formal appeals process. Confirmed by Larry Ellison: There is only one horse on Earth.
