Some more art of my dracthyr Athaldrel! And yes, I know he looks really similar to another OC of mine... I'm a one trick pony, I guess! But also... I've missed RP'ing as this particular character, and this feels like making a new and different version of him. I'm excited to bring him to events! 💚✨

I can really tell I don't have the time or energy to draw as much anymore.. My art is really stiff, and I'm losing skills I used to have. I hope I can figure something out to keep myself going, though <3

A late night Dracthyr sketch! I've come back to WoW, and decided to make a new dude! Athaldrel is still a WIP for sure, so let's see if he'll stick around or what ✨ #dracthyr #WoW #WoWart #art #furry #oc #sketch #WorldOfWarcraft #ForTheHorde

I've been working on a kirin OC lately, and I've been wanting to draw him! Say hello to Daffodil (He/Him)! Another one of my OC's meant to provide some representation for myself as a no-op transman 😌✨ Yes, I'm a one-trick pony... but the trick is a good one, don't you think? 👀

It's been forever since I last properly drew my boy, and I decided to take a pencil sketch I had, and turn it into a digital piece! 😤 Lera my son, I'm so happy to be drawing you again!

Beautiful Pear Butter! She took the longest for me to paint of all the ponies I've done so far, and it was fun figuring out how to work my new brushes I got this weekend! #mlp #pearbutter #pearbuttermlp #mlpfanart #mlpart #mylittlepony #pony #ponyart #gouache #gouachepainting

So now I need to find the money to cover my usual monthly bills and costs. After this weekend, I feel so much more at ease. So, thank you!

I've been in a bit of trouble financially after starting my internship, but after this weekend - your support has helped me greatly towards affording living costs! Long story short; My internship doesn't offer paid leave while they're closed for the summer, and I wasn't notified in time to save up.

The reason I've been getting into gouache, is because I wanted to experiment with ways to create my comic! I was so happy with the grass practice today, I decided to draw Leraeth's feet to see how the gouache background would fit with a digitally drawn character! #gouache #practice #art #comic

Seeing the proof of used materials and progress in learning how to handle tools, is a feeling i never could achieve with digital art alone. And it feels great to make art with it's intended purpose: enjoyment and experimentation!

Buckley @gnarlybuck.bsky.social · 15/04/2026

But on paper, i can see my progress and i can collect my art in fun messy piles. I am using materials which leaves empty tubes behind, papers i accidentally spilled over or ripped, and accidentally dyed all the hairs of my brushes. I also got my clothes stained! But it's all proof of my artworks.

Digital art is art, and i won't stop using the method altogether. But i think it should be up for consideration, how the digital world has warped our senses and expectations nowadays. When i close my pc, where's the art I've created? All i'm left with, is an empty room and a black screen.

On another note, I've been retreating more and more from digital art and the online scene. The expectation of professionalism, perfection and speed that's been cultivated online has destroyed my joy for art. So returning to the elements have been a freeing experience!

It's been such a long time since I last drew my boy, Leraeth 🥺 Working out how to draw him for the comic, so I won't die having to redraw too many details and such! #OCart #comic #comicart #characterdesign #elf #druid #lgbtart #characterart #illustration #elves #fantasy
