✨Our Oldham care experienced group welcomed Hannah from the local allotments to one of their sessions who taught them how to make marrow and ginger jam! The young people worked together to make the jam, and helped Hannah to pour them into jars - learning valuable cooking skills! 🍳

🎮 Several care leavers in Oldham had a fun and interactive afternoon with Adaptive Gaming CIC, who set up a variety of different games for our young people to enjoy! The group learned important lessons on online safety and developed their teamworking skills. A huge thank you to Adaptive Gaming! 🎉

🥧 Our young people had a great day taking part in pie making workshops at The Black Friar in Salford! They had lots of fun learning skills from a top chef! One young person said "I wish I could have made 10 of those pies. I've been thinking about them all week".

🍞 Our Beeing Together group had a bread making workshop with Companio bakery in preparation for our feast with Eat Well Manchester and Where the Light Gets In! The young people got to learn how to grind wheat into flour, as well as knead and shape the dough into bread tins. [1/3]

🚣 Our Bolton care-leavers took part in kayaking over the summer with Water Adventure Centre (WAC) in Ashton! For some, it was their first time on the water and they enjoyed the freedom of paddling up and down the canals of Ashton! 🌊 Big thanks to the WAC in Ashton for facilitating the session!

Last month, the Greater Manchester Neurodivergent VCSE Collective hosted an inspiring event, bringing together those who are working to improve support for neurodivergent young people. Hannah, a young person from our Youth Voice Group, delivered a fantastic speech on her lived experience of ADHD. 🙌

⛱️ Back in August, our cared for young people from Oldham, Tameside and Manchester visited the seaside at Prestatyn beach in North Wales! For many of the group it was their first time going to the beach, so they didn’t let the overcast conditions stop them from having a fun time!
