I found out today that we lost another #glycotime giant, Dr. Vern Reinhold. I first met Vern as a graduate student at my first big international conference, Glyco XIV in Zurich. He was so kind and welcoming to a newbie glyco person. He will be missed.

Today we lost a giant in #glycotime , Dr. John Hanover. He was always a wonderful scientist to interact with and I very much enjoyed the times I spent at the NIH and at conferences interacting with him and talking about #OGlcNAc . He will be missed.
