My first thought on waking up this morning was an incredulous 'More animosities from the Tsar?' So whatever marvellous grand royalist drama my subconscious was cooking, thank you for my new catchphrase.

If i wanted a really self indulgent Sonic commission pic imitating a comic cover with loads of characters in, how would I approach an artist for that? Most folks price and expect simpler dingle character pics.

Oh boy, @lazerpotaters.bsky.social absolutely hit this out of the park! They were trying out 'skeb' commissions, basically an artist's choice, and I couldn't be happier with the result with my lioness critter.

We did it, lads. We banned trans people from toilets. Now to sit back and watch house prices come down and vegetables stop rotting on supermarket shelves and we'll all come together and feast on Cadbury's Creme Eggs as big as your head, m'boy, And we'll watch Morecambe and Wise, who did NOT die

Sonic Retro has scans of the old full colour Japanese 8 and 16 bit Sonic manuals and boy, they make our grayscale Western affairs look like very poor cousins. They are full of achingly 90s colourful design work and characterful drawings. #sonic
