so I was concerned about this half-wall overlooking the back door (which is several steps down from main floor level) and the pendant lamp being cat-bait eventually I want to make a pretty tension wire installation to the ceiling but this is the stop-gap (literally)

a half-wall overlooking the rear entrance which is sunken by about 6 ft, with a pendant lamp above the door near to the half-wall. there is a metal pet gate installed on top of the half-wall to block the path to the lamp and the 6 ft drop
