Looks like they “nerfed” Opus 5 by limiting its ability to spin up sub agents by default without excessive user prompts to allow them.

I love + hate this at the same time. A solution to a problem that is getting out of control (human review), but also a pattern that more experienced folk know how to deal with (smaller reviewable chunks). Win in my book regardless, it's an interesting timeline.

Using Codex at home and Claude at work, I think I’m starting to prefer Codex. I feel like I’m jumping ship to a different provider every couple of months.
