however many words of me talking to myself over headcanons I'll probably never get the chance to draw again anyways

a sketch of crownslayer from the front and side. text points to her shoulders, saying "generally make sure there's some muscle mass in shoulders". another points to her chest, saying "not exactly flat, but whatever is there sags anyways". another points to her ribcage, her stomach, and her hips, saying "visceral fat lies under the ribcage and does not extend to the hips" more text says "her pot belly is mostly from chronic inflammation from infection, hormone imbalances, food insecurity, and a lifetime of high stress. despite being a heavy drinker, it isn't constant and doesn't factor much, so most mass is lower on the abdomen." there is a point to her infection scars on her left arm. more points to burn scars on her left side and left shoulder. theres another point to how she's assless because she's a hyena. and one more point to her calves which are fairly buff. underneath are some drawings of what her torso would look like with her typical outfit on. the text for it says "this body type is notoriously hard to depict under clothing and has a tendency to "disappear". to avoid this, studying her underlying body and how clothing fits over it is paramount until it becomes intuitive, as well as general stress testing."

there are a couple of drawings, one has crownslayer lifting her head to scratch at the scruff under her jaw, which is now visible at this angle, and another one has her pushing back her ear to show her sideburns. the text here says: "hirsutism points: face: under jaw and sideburns (PCOS-like distribution) chest: sternal pattern. abdomen: acuminate pattern. back: sagittal pattern. leg hair isn't anything atypical. arm hair absent for now so it doens't obscure her infection scars, but this may be reconsidered." another drawing shows her back. the text for it says "the actual most notable case of hirsutism for her is on her back. the sagittal pattern concentrates hair on the spine with the largest patches between the shoulders and her lower back leading to the base of her tail. remember for human subjects: back hair flows upwards and outwards from the spine before curling down at the upper back and it flows downwards and into the spine at the lower back." at the bottom are two more drawings of her left hand from the front and back. the text says: "hands are largely unscarred (though she has a few nicks after changing to fingerless gloves) but there is one notable 'stigmata-like' scar on her left hand, larger on the back and smaller on the palm. the scar on the palm should be shorter from the bottom to indicate the shape of the blade (her own) and the direction of the blade (sharp side was facing herself). remember to show calluses in detail shots, they'd be more prominent on her right hand, but we see her use her left hand occasionally."

I was so unsure of if I could pull this off and I am so glad everything really came together in the end! crownslayer's expression especially was one I kept paying attention to and messing with because it looks so small as a detail but is a core to everything else. and I'm glad it worked!

delivering a bounty of lyudmilas is my purpose! but yes THANK YOU! I had to have at least one drawing where you could really see how I draw her belly. and god I didn't even think of that with the smoke puffs but I think I subconsciously drew on that idea and it makes her even more expressive...!

yup! I will say that crocotile (currently) doesn't have things like layers when painting the textures, but it's otherwise completely servicable and I am pretty comfortable doing all my texture painting in crocotile

finally trying out #picocad2 with tsumemon! I wanted to animate it too but I learned how to change pivots too late it's a great program for beginners, if a bit deceptively tricky if you already know 3d modelling for a few things. otherwise I'd love to play with it more! #3d

yup! crocotile actually has an auto-uv-flattening function that lets me make more organic polygon shapes while crocotile changes the shapes of the uvs at the same time to make them pixel-perfect. its a big reason I like doing pixel texture models in crocotile the most

two drawings of crownslayer, one from early in the story, and one from years later in the current era of the story. They both show the state of the infection in her mouth during those time periods, with the first only having crystals in the back of the tongue and one missing tooth while the second has more crystals across the tongue, another missing tooth on the bottom, and more discolored teeth. The text for the first reads: year 1096-97. Crystals have crept up from her throat into her mouth. However, they are far back enough still that you'd have to get a really good look in order to spot them. Passive smoke exhalation was present, but very light and not much of an issue when camping in the Ursus outdoors." For the second, the text reads: year 1100+. The consequences of constant arts use from her time fighting in Reunion has metastasized in the years afterwards. Crystals have crept up to the front of her mouth and are now obvious at a glance without Sommer and the truckers needing to get all up in her business to notice. Passive smoke exhalation is now impossible to ignore and an airtight face mask is necessary to manage it around others." an additional small doodle of her at the bottom of the page has her looking uncomfortable and covering her mouth, saying "ugh...stop looking..."
