It is, even the students that may dislike Taylor will get that our point is related to them seeing plants after that, they will keep seeing plants everywhere

I’m already expecting many botanical elements for the new album, one of the songs is called “Wood”, so, my hope is high 🤭🤭

That’s the idea! Whether they love or hate Taylor, the method doesn’t require admiration or love for her, or for botany: it requires cognitive activation students’ feelings for her motivate them anyway, bcs controversy sustains engagement thus, MVs may trigger and activate students’ cognition 😃

Spent an hour screenshotting Taylor Swift videos into an upcoming Plant Diversity lecture, so I know my students will either think of me as super cool or totally uncool.* Inspired by: academic.oup.com/aob... *You don't have to tell me, I know which.

Using Taylor Swift music videos in botany classes can make students more interested in plants, helping them learn better and notice the important role plants play in our world. botany.fyi/b01f2l @glauceae.bsky.social et al's paper with actual Taylor Swift imagery is at doi.org/10.1093/aob/...
