Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Early reviews are in and critics are calling it “not very academic,” saying “they might as well be baking muffins.” The witch could not be reached for comment, but the scent of banana bread could be detected coming from her cabin. 000
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 24/09/2026A thousands-year-old witch visited me on the equinox to share the link to this album. Not sure what it means. ragebaitthedog.bandcamp.com 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 02/09/2026If you had told me that one of these was a disturbing horror fantasy and the other was a lighthearted battle shonen, in no timeline would I have guessed correctly. 030
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Maybe this is just early onset, but I feel like I’m stuck calling movies DVDs for the rest of my life. I feel like a dork saying I’ve got something on bluray (Blu-ray? Blu ray?) and you will never catch me asking if you want to watch Minions & Monsters on 4K UHD. 000
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/07/2026As for those who lament that the movie lacked whimsy and any kind of colour—if you’ve ever seen a Christopher Nolan movie and that’s what you were expecting this time, I really don’t know what to say. 000
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/07/2026There’s a lot of grumbling that the “Nobody” line was cut, but it & the subsequent reveal, makes no sense without any vengeful gods. And to that point, if you were shipwrecked and spent seven years drugged up, you too might remember being trapped in a cave with a 12-foot one-eyed man-eating creature 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Like, what if it wasn’t Poseidon that was pissed off and caused a storm, what if it was just bad weather? What if it wasn’t that Athena blessed you, what if you just had good luck that day? What if you were sacrificing children in the name of a god and it was meaningless? 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/07/2026I know this is the internet and no one cares and there are already a million takes about Nolan’s Odyssey, but it frustrates me that the criticisms are largely about what they wish the film was and not on its own merits. People are upset that there are no gods or magic, but that’s the point!! 110
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Ogerpon? 👀 (these are all incredible btw, I love your memory scrungles) 111
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I’m glad I was able to watch it as it released. The story is a SLOW burn and having that week in between each episode allowed me to savour it and heightened the tension and build up of emotions. I hope it does well and leads to an English release of the manga! 000
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026On the topic of music, I LOVE the opening by yonige, and I’ve been hooked on their EP that has that song. 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026The ending song is the same each time but each of the six characters has a version where they sing it, which also adds to the storytelling during the credits. 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Similarly, every episode has a unique ending animation. It will revolve around whoever the main character of that episode was and shows an event that was maybe alluded to in the episode, which is a brilliant way to add a flashback/provide context without inserting it directly in the story. 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026A couple of other thoughts: all of the episodes have different animation directors, and while it neutralizes somewhat as the season go on, it’s quite striking for the first ~4 episodes. 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I don’t know if I can yet fully articulate why Kamiina Botan is such a special show, other than it feels like a remembrance. Memories that I do not have but feel like I’m remembering them. 110
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Wow you’ve seen it Iℓ times already! Amaze amaze amaze! 👐🏻 110
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 29/05/2026I have never at any point in my creative life, even in my lowest moments of feeling like a failure because I can’t come up with the right word or chord, ever thought “I wish somebody else could do this for me.” I’ve never wanted the process to be “easier.” I’ve only ever wanted to be a better artist 020
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 25/05/2026I know the Mana series is not as polished as other Square games, but gosh are they beautiful and have lovely soundtracks. 010
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 25/05/2026It was….interesting haha. I played Visions when it came out so after playing Trials for the 1st time, I just had some trophy cleanup in VoM. SoM I’ve played quite a bit, but did a full clean playthrough to get the platinum. The achievements are pretty grindy (esp. SoM) not something I’d recommend 210
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 24/05/2026So I definitely broke my rule of not buying more games until I finished these….BUT I did beat: Expedition 33 Trials of Mana + platinum Visions of Mana + platinum Secret of Mana + platinum Ghost of Yotei + platinum Resident Evil 2 Remake (Claire A) + collected some new trophies in FFVIIR 220

Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 21/05/2026Just a glimpse into my twisted mind... I posted the first one on IG, but I also wanted to make the second one to be more linguistically accurate XD #projecthailmary #phm #evangelion #shinjiikari 030

Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 24/04/2026Last week gas was $2.10/L. On Monday the government removed the federal tax on gas and it went down to 2.00. Now it’s 2.10 again. This is the same thing that happened when they removed the carbon tax; it’s not relief for citizens, it’s a handout for oil companies. 010
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 16/03/2026And then other times I start with a concrete idea and it kind of morphs as I’m working on it. Shout out to Nick and his Oreo obsession. 063
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 16/03/2026My mind likes to play word association and then I end up in a place like this that feels like one logical degree to me but would take six tenuous degrees to explain to anyone 112
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 14/03/2026All that to say that as I get older I appreciate realistic depictions of characters aging, and maybe this doesn’t have a broader significance but it was a personal moment I wanted to share. 110
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 14/03/2026She’s not an action hero. She’s a 40 year-old office worker, and she just looks like a normal person. And that touched me, in a way, because I’m turning 40 this year, I’m an office professional, and I’m just a normal person 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 14/03/2026And I’m not going to lie, at first there was a twinge of disappointment. She didn’t have the cool factor of Leon, and I wanted her to be cool. But then as we saw her throughout the game the significance of her design grew on me 100
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 14/03/2026I know everyone’s talking about Leon’s design from RE9–and don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome—but I also wanna take a sec to acknowledge Sherry’s new design. I loved her glow up in RE6 and when I found out she’d be in Requiem I was really excited to see her 110

Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 04/02/2026Unlike the unnameable bigot, Chiitan should have its own tv series on HBO. Chiitan should have its own theme park. Chiitan should have its own book series beloved by children and adults for generations. People should be getting Chiitan tattoos to cover up other tattoos. Because Chiitan loves us all. 230
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 29/01/2026What the heck, Cosmic Princess was so cute 😭 I finally found good yuri 🥹 010
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 27/01/2026Oh shoot I missed that. Do you think you could do a third scene with grade 6-level symbolism that shows James is in a prison of his own design, that he’s the monster all along? 120
Alexandra/Hope @glassemptyness.bsky.social · 27/01/2026My top 3 moments: 1) James lighting up a joint 2) Pyramid Head roaring like an 8 year old pretending to be a dinosaur 3) New Game+ ??? 220
