Well keep trying your best and try not to get discouraged. Sometimes you just need to redo things a few times before it clicks for you. Maybe try to catch a Livestream of a rigger working so you can see their process in real time and ask a few questions.

RIP to the absolute legend that was Peter Cullen. You were an absolute treasure who embodied the spirit of Optimus Prime both in and out of the vocal booth. You will be sorely missed. Til All Are One. #tramsformers | #maccadams | #optimusprime | #petercullen

Honestly that's just how it goes sometimes lol. Also is it an issue of not having cut pieces you didn't realize needed cutting, or just layer order? Because layer order is easily changed per piece in Live2D itself.

110

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

It is generally the creator's choice. Leaving the color and line art on the same layer should be fine, especially if you're trying to save layers. Technically you can make a model with a single layer of you're clever enough and don't mind a bit of jank lol

110

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Make it snap all the way to the front with no gradual shifting through layers.

On the parameter controlling the ear layer order, add another key point just before the point where you want the switch to occur with the default value. For example, if you want it to switch fully at Head X -10, then add a key point at -9.9 with the value it has when behind everything. That should

IT'S FINALLY STREAMING TIME!!! I'm planning to go live for the first time next Friday at 6:00 PM Eastern US time on Twitch! It's not going to be any big debit or anything, just a chill art stream. Even so, I hope to see you there! #envtuber | #vtuber | #vtuberuprising

They're actually surprisingly easy. I found them for sale at Walmart of all places and thought I'd give it a shot. You just gotta make sure to water them with distilled or rain water and keep them in growing medium with absolutely no nutrients to speak of.

110

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Right? I was purposefully avoiding looking up what they look like so I'd be surprised, so the wait was fun. Didn't realize the camera focus wasn't on the flower, but they're actually slightly transparent too, which is really neat.

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

Lol definitely what I was thinking. She's absolutely thriving so I think she can spare the energy for a flower. The two other ones I have had to be rescued from the brink of death, so they're getting their flower stalks cut to save energy.

So, today I found out just how badly I suffer from audio sensory overload... By wearing earplugs to work and actually experiencing a day without it 😵‍💫 I knew it was causing me stress, but I didn't realize it was driving me to the edge of literal insanity, holy crap.

Little sneak peek of an animation I'm working on~ ✨ What's that? You can't see anything past the cat? Gosh, that sounds frustrating. It'd be even more annoying if you had to work like that, huh? 🫩

As upset as I was about at least the first pair, this does give me the opportunity to change their color. They were both dark brown to begin with, but I may change one of them up. Maybe a deep red suede flocking? 🤔 I'd do black, but the heel and sole are still dark brown and I hate mixing the two.

If I had a nickel for every perfect pair of dark academia boots I've thrifted for $6 in the past two weeks that have immediately shed its entire surface like a snake the instant I got them home, I'd have two nickles. Instead, I now have two experiments in resurfacing shoes to play with. Fun!

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Yup, exactly! I think that'll help communicate the shininess of the surface facets and push it to the next level. Can't wait to see your finished creature! I'm sure he'll look stunning!

110

Glamatron 3000 🏳️‍⚧️✨ @glamatron3000.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Looking great! One thing I might do is make a light shine layer that takes up the entirety of each facet, then just adjust the opacity based on the angle, the brightest being when that facet is facing the light source and fully transparent when facing away. I hope that makes sense. 💜

I may have made what I like to call a "responsible adult decision" and splurged on a pair of Victorian Goth boots >.>;; in my defense they were on clearance and in a style I rarely see anymore. I'm not trying to justify this to myself! Not at all! ^^;

I've found that the best way is to draw or reference images of the head in those corner angles and just try to match them as close as you can in Live2D. Here's a pretty good chart to keep close at hand while practicing

No one tells you this when you start doing art, but at some point you're going to have to draw bare feet just good enough that it doesn't look funky, but not so good that people start to wonder what you're into. That line is blurrier than you'd expect.

Looking good! For the eyelash, you may need to give it a much denser mesh to deform more smoothly. I usually go into mesh edit for spots like that and build up the mesh by hand rather than trust automesh.

In my experience you don't need anything fancy. I use a pretty cheap webcam with a built in mini ring light and it works just fine. As long as it's a light illuminating your face from directly in front to minimize shadows, it'll work. Focus on finding one that fits nicely in your current setup.
