“Pretty speaches” (sic) is an example of the snide, demeaning and ignorant insults used by conservatives as a short, snappy phrase to dismiss what are in fact thoughtful, well-intentioned & -reasoned speeches. Thank goodness many Canadians recognize that phrase for what it is: nonsense.

Whether or not it was a good decision to call an election is irrelevant compared to the FACT that you are much more competent to hold office right now under the threat from the US than the Cons under any name. We need to stand up for ourselves, not acquiesce with appeasement. So I thank you.

When the old iMac goes we'll have to assess whether we need a cable subscription. (Others here have referred to something called IPTV, which I'll have to research.) This splintering of services is crazy and expensive, not to mention annoyingly time-consuming.

We just recently got an AppleTV box because it was the only way we could access Knowledge Network (via their app) on our Samsung TV without cable vision. In addition to Knowledge, we have CBC Gem, PBS, Britbox, MHZ, Netflix. We have cable vision which we watch on an old 27" iMac.
