The problem isn't that aid groups don't know what's in their stack (they often know the main products). Rather, humanitarians - especially those in Global Majority - cannot play whack-a-mole with each AI functionality snuck in product updates and even if they could, the power imbalance is too strong

What emerges very clearly through the demos, is that the world seen through the Maven platform and its AI chatbots is a place made only of potential targets. Anyone in it is either a possible target, or nothing to be concerned with at all. No estimated collateral damage, no comparison based on harm

As shown by all Palantir demos since 2024, tactical interfaces showing engagement options avoid mentioning if the area is heavily populated or not, the number of civilians objects or persons near the target, if the strike would pose environmental/weapon contamination dangers, and so on and so forth
