This is an incomplete read of both the Hungarian anti-Orban coalition and IMO also the anti-Trump coalition. A large swath of both coalitions (again IMO) are people who don't really care about this stuff or at least think the other party won't be better, but they are fed up with the economy.

True, but while older open problems solved by AI were not considered hard by the mathemathicians I talk to, these were. Progress in math does tend to lead to scientific breakthroughs. AI is still overhyped and causes societal problems, but it is not just an expensive toy anymore.

From what I understand the Erdős math problems are being solved in part by LLMs, that is the translation to and from the mathematical proof validation languages is generative, not classic machine learning.
