Of everything horrific done by this admin since January, I feel the fall of the CDC/NIH/HHS the deepest. As a doc, I am grounded in science. We follow the science even when it challenges what we've "known" for years. Doubting what comes from these orgs during this winter will sadden me daily.

I remember the fear I felt the day my child texted me school was in lock down. She had no info, I had no info, the school hadn't shared anything yet. Husband drove as close as he could get just to see a lot of first responders and cops. Ended up being an empty threat, nothing, but shared terror.
