So far the only important behaviour I needed from iTerm was the copy-on-select and setting it to clipboard works great for me.

Love the fact that the default config and themes are available with a command from the terminal itself. ``` ghostty +list-themes ghostty +show-config --default --docs ```

So far loving the the default config should be sufficient approach. Jives well with my expectations. Will post any fun tricks discovered which weren't apparent directly from the docs rightaway here. If there's enough of these then I'll write something longer.

With ghostty.org getting rave reviews and @mitchellh being the legend he is, been diving into ghostty head since it's public release yesterday.

I have always been a use a default tool unless you really need to change sort of person. Which means I have been on iTerm on macos for the longest time and haven't really had any reason to change.

I kid you not, @itch.io has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

Every so often someone makes the same terrible discovery. You can set a lifecycle policy but that’ll incur a transition cost for every object post-upload. It’s inefficient. Please fix. #awswishlist

This is your reminder that DMs here are _not encrypted_. They're not even really part of ATProto. It's on the roadmap, but that's not the case now. DMs are centralized and unencrypted. Behave accordingly.

I think Kathmandu was just jolted with an earthquake! When Twitter a was functional, we would all tweet it out and instantly get confirmation. Awaiting details now but looks like it was decent tremor, bsky has big shoes to fill.

a PSA since a lot of folks have been surprised to learn this: terminal programs often support the mouse! Try: - opening `htop` and clicking a column header to sort - opening `nano` (or vim, or micro) and clicking and dragging to select text - using the scroll wheel in `mc` it often Just Works
