Native California Flora x Fauna is becoming a series! I’m enjoying perusing CA nature guidebooks for inspiration. Here is the Sonoran Desert Tortoise and Desert Five Spot, a block print. #blockprint #printmaking #tortoise

Fondly recalling my last #tidepool excursion at Pillar Point in Half Moon Bay. My first ever sighting of Hopkins Rose #Nudibranch! They feed on a dark pink bryozoan, hence the distinctive color. Note the feathery gills nestled in the rear end, and the 2 Rhinophores (sensory) up front.

Vividly pink nudibranch covered in finger-like papillae, projecting in all directions. Feathery gills and two rhinophores are visible amongst the papillae. It is attached to a rock, near to its food source, a pink bryozoan.

Hello Bluesky Community! I’m excited to be here. I’m a San Francisco based artist specializing in Print and Ceramics. These two dishes are fresh from the glaze kiln. They feature ten-lined june beetles adorned with California poppies. #natureart #ceramicart #sgraffito

Two oval, shallow hand made dishes with ten-lined beetle designs. The beetles have botanical patterns on their backs, based on the California poppy.
