🌾 gini @gini.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

my brothers keep saying "you're never in the Netherlands" and I'm like "that's not true. you guys just never wanna hang out when I'm here" and then I write on the fridge I'll be gone for 7 weeks next month lmao. they're kinda right

AVROTROS said the Netherlands wouldn't participate in the Eurovision Song Festival, but NPO bypassed them and decided that we should participate anyway 🙄 nu mag ik een brief schrijven naar de NPO waarom dit een kutbesluit is omdat een songfestival boycotten wel het minimum is wat we kunnen doen

thought the newest opening of Ascendance of a Bookworm was okay until I hit the daijoubu bridge and now I'm obsessed with the song 😭 it really is the power of love...

i think in general they should make more josei anime

🌾 gini @gini.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I think one day they should make a Blank Canvas (kakukaku shikajika) anime but I'll probably cry beyond recovery. it's a really moving autobiographical story about death and the creative process

reminder that it's not "age verification", it's "identity verification" true age verification needs nothing more than self reporting. if you say you're 18+ and you're not then that your responsibility. websites shouldn't have to care about more than that.

Ascendance of a Bookworm fans will insist they're fine and then have an emotional breakdown when a child yells at Rosemyne how she can't possibly understand the pain of being separated from their family

i keep forgetting my doctor's clinic is always so busy that it takes at least 2 weeks to get an appointment if it's not urgent. I'll see her at the end of the month 👍

my boss took time off and he thinks it's hysterical that his ooo points to me but that my ooo basically says "leave me alone and email our department mailbox". I'm the only one who regularly processes mails in that mail box too lmao

I think they should remake Persona 1 but not in the P3R way. they should scrap all magic and introduce 12 different types of melee damage and like 12 types of guns. they should allow dark/light chants though but there's like 3 different types each (e.g. curse, dead, death)

not me wondering what pretty vtuber art is trending and it was just persona. i agree makoto looks like a dream

technology keeps advancing but will it change my life like Google translate being able to read and translate foreign signs. I don't think we need phones to do more. we reached the peak

I need to remind everyone, especially after their presentation today. Level-5 has been very openly using Generative AI in their game development and are proud of it. This includes their newly announced titles such as New World of Steam, Yo-Kai Watch 2 and Curious Village Remake.

my boss assigned a lot of boring and monotone work to me. I loathe it but I'm coping by listening to junos video courses while doing my work

000

🌾 gini @gini.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

listening to a video course and the speaker joked "it's called an octet. I think that's mandarin" and it didn't sound very sarcastic so I wonder how many people just took his word for it 😂 it's from latin help

*gets distracted* maybe i should learn latin... :)

kirito looks really twinkie in some new sao promotional art and now I'm enjoying part of the internet discovering eugeo exists, that kirito and eugeo are really gay (and even got married in one of the games), and that asuna enjoys this relationship (fujoing outta her mind). it's just beautiful

my Spanish review so far is that i think the hardest word is "estadounidense", I don't like the use of é for emphasis instead of long e (I'm used to french) but I'll roll with it, and hmmm there's a lot of use of c instead of k or q (coreano, cuatro). it's fun tho

my work laptop updated so obviously i need new issues like audio randomly cutting out and not working anymore. then i check and a whole strain of AI enhancements are turned on. i never asked for this :/

i started thinking i don't talk a lot on here so maybe sometimes I'll just comment on the manga I'm reading. i think too much about what i read tho

🌾 gini @gini.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

a while ago I read all of Iryuu: Team Medical Dragon. i missed it, so I went to read another work by the same mangaka; Yuureitou. but it featured surgery so much, it felt like the mangaka was saying "I also miss Iryuu" lol

shoutout to the pepsiman cosplayer at magfest last year who showed up to the uchi photoshoot after i incoherently rambled to him trying to explain who kotaro uchikoshi is and how funny it would be for him to be there
