Summer is officially winding down and Autumn is knocking on the door. It's kind of crazy how quickly this Summer has flown by. Not gonna lie tho' - won't miss the Humidex. #AutumnEquinox #Fall #photography #FloralPhotography #PhotographySky #JapaneseAnemoneSeptemberCharm #GardenSky #PlantSky

It's aggravating listening to these idiots wax moronic as if they had any real inkling of the internal politics of Canada. Nutlick cannot even pronounce kerfuffle and who the hell is the "Sovereign Party". Doesn't he realize there's more than one. He can't even figure out if data centres use water.

Oh nice hibiscus & overall, a very lovely garden. Everything looks so happy and very healthy. This year the groundhogs, extreme heat & excessive rain are demolishing mine. Thankfully, still have my blue hibiscus blooming away! And, bonus, the Japanese Beetles were almost non-existent this year!

Look at this pretty little Virginia Creeper Sphinx moth (Darapsa myron) with that great camouflage pattern. I found it nestled in my rosemary. It's only the second time I've seen one around here which is surprising as my neighbour has an abundance of Virginia Creeper. #Lepidoptera #Moths #Insects

A Virginia creeper sphinx moth (Darapsa myron) perched on my fingertips. The forewings have a camouflage pattern of dark brown, tan, gray, and olive green. Just beneath my hand is a pot of pink Calibrachoa with a dark pink eye. Found it nestled in my rosemary.

Every once in a blue moon I sign in over at the dead bird app and I am immediately confronted with something that merits a screenshot. This seems accurate. ⬇️

If she posted that little clip of her reading Pierre's approved script on her acct on the dead bird app she's probably kicked off her flats just about now (because: no journo around to run from) and having a glass or two while blocking everyone who made comments she doesn't like. Hush up Michelle.

Sweet & they do lift spirits! Next to feisty little Chickadees, I love the Nuthatches. They seem a little comical when they climb down a trunk headfirst with their "yank" call. This one landed on my back gallery (looking for peanuts) as if to say "Wahoo, Sun's out" despite all the piles of snow.

From the angle, the tail looks rounded so yes, likely a Cooper's Hawk. I have one that very frequently hangs around my back yard (I feed the birds). When it's around the Chickadees really sound the alarm & they all take cover and freeze. This is from last Summer.

I hate spiders as much as Indie hates snakes but this has always been one of my absolute favourite cartoons from Gary Larson's The Far Side:

A coloured, hand drawn image from Gary Larson's The Far Side cartoons depicting a playground slide with a large spider web at the bottom and two spiders perched on top of one of the side supports. One spider comments to the other "If we pull this off, we'll eat like kings."

Not the flex he thought it was! I looked in on the dead bird app & there's a whole lot of backlash as to the stupidity of the message he "designed" with his kids. Of course, in typical Repuglican fashion he's acting all butt hurt & calling everyone else out for THEIR negativity. All I can say is:

It has been 36 years since the Dec. 6th, 1989 massacre of 14 young women at Polytechnique Montréal and they were targeted just BECAUSE they were women. On this National Day of Action & Remembrance on Violence against Women we remember them and all those still impacted by gender-based violence.

Quelle surprise. Lich has quite the ego & considers herself as some kind of freedom fighting hero who speaks for "all Canadians" as she's so often fond of saying. She got lucky - pretty sure her bail conditions did not include hanging with the likes of Tommy Robinson or Christine Anderson. #Traitor

Cardinal rules! This beautiful fellow is quite skittish right now whenever I get close with my camera but, hopefully, by the end of Summer or Fall he will be less so. Making sure to choose only the fattest of peanuts for him. #photography #birdwatching #Nikon #NorthernCardinal #Montréal #CanadaSky

Happy Summer Solstice a day late. Bought what I thought was a typical flat of Cosmos at the market & it was clearly mislabelled. I've been continually surprised, as they open, to instead see a mix of Candy Stripe & Picotee. Yes, you bet I'll be collecting the seeds! #photography #flowers #gardening
