Finally made it to the Gunton Arms to eat last night and OMG the wait was worth it. COD cheeks and lamb for me. Utterly delicious - and like dining in an art gallery. So me-coded!!!! Good Festival of Amelia treat, and no mistake. And perfect Hunting Lodge coziness for the proper autumnal weather

Today i have seen A WHITE pheasant. But I was driving so have no picture! But also, we saw deer, a jay, an oystercatcher and this magnificent fellow who happened to be right behind the caravan… Glorious… this place is full of amazing creatures!

We all KNOW I am obsessed with reflections on water - here are some belters - under the pier at Cromer with sea sparkles, in the lake at Amazona, and in with the giant “vegetarian piranhas - the Pacu…

Black water with ripples and sea sparkles and the angular architectural pillars of the pier struts

Overhanging green foliage reflected into the water of the lake with blue sky dappling through at the bottom - the reflection of the tree above it mirror like and in the centre of shit there is a mallard, perfectly reflected into a double duck

Very stark almost monochrome reflections around an interesting log construction which looks a little duck like - a mallard sits in the centre of the log on the right and foliage reflects into the water to create its darker hues while the sky does the rest - a solitary golden leaf floats too

The giant PACU, with monstera reflected into the water, and the roof of the greenhouse/hothouse structure - golden gravel offsets their dark scales - these animals bite, the sign warns - but luckily I am not a vegetable. Or stupid. So I still have all my fingers :)

Sharing the pier at Cromer with two starlings. I think they’re juvenile ones as they are both quite brown in plumage. They were very friendly and sweet. This was right next to me :) With a view of the headland going towards Overstrand - and Bluey green waters and tiny mini egg hued beach huts

Last trip I booked before I knew I was broke - in progress. But LOOK AT THE GORGEOUS AMINALS! In Norfolk soaking up all the animal magic and natural beauty I can muster before I have to knuckle down and sort my life out… Related: Amazona is brilliant

I forget the REAL name, but the gold and green tree REFLECTIONS ON THIS WATER - and a black stocking head (my moniker) swan elegantly offsetting it all in black and white

Pretty in pink, a resting flamingo with two legs for once preening in the black and white reflections of the lake

Two Maras chilling under a pine tree - they run wild at Amazona which is a delight - (which look like wabbits on stilts) and a strange ginger creature between them

Everyone’s fave giant, chill rodent - the Capybara, eating its greens and oranges…
