Recovering people-pleaser, hoping for benevolent government. Far too optimistic. Gardening and painting allows me to find the strength to follow the politics 🇬🇧🇨🇦

For no real reason I have not painted for 6 months. So to paint myself back into it, I looked out of the back window. Now onwards. (Click on the image)

🌱on the last afternoon of the school holidays, hundreds of people with children and dogs flocked to enjoy the last of the blossom in the Alnwick Gardens cherry orchard. Japanese music and lanterns. A real buzz, which was pretty cool.

Happy Christmas Eve! Thank you to those who have interacted with me this year.I’m not one of life’s joiners, but my Blue Sky experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I hope you all find some joy during the festivities. And Teddy says’Hi’.

#ArtAdventCalendar A watercolour for my Christmas Card from 2 years ago. It's called 'Make a decision Teddy, it's flipping freezing.'
Watercolour of a cat looking out of an open front door to the snowy path beyond. There is a gate and stone pillars at then of the path, and a Christmas wreath on the front door.

#ArtAdventCalendar I’m not a photographer but I took this picture on Kingston Rd, Toronto in May24. It has a Hopper-esque vibe, I think.

#ArtAdventCalendar Part of the attraction of learning to use acrylics is to move away from fiddly detail and go bigger and bolder. I like the contrasts on this one.

WIP acrylic surprise present for a friend. She has had a tough year, and her 18 year old cat died last month. I have the facial likeness. Now if there is any decent natural daylight over the next couple of days I can do the fun stuff.
