FTW. Good fucking lord what a movie. Ringo Lam’s rock infused, sex filled heroic bloodsheed god tier banger. Anthony Wong is superb, Chow is of course incredible but Simon Yam is on another level. Movie has style coming out of every frame. Phenomenal action. 5/5

Rewatch. JCVD’s sci actioner still holds up. Great premise and Silver is a sleezy villain. Action is solid if alittle overly Edited. CG has aged horribly but it’s. It a deal breaker. JCVD and Mia Sara have great chemistry and she’s the emotional core. 4/5

Despite Brosnan, the sword fight and David Arnold’s score this is a total mess. The most ludicrous Bond film next to Moonraker. Awful Cg, atrocious dialogue and a laughable plot even for Bond. The nostalgia laden Q scene is fun but that’s it. Brosnan goes out on a dud. 2.5/5

Rewatch. Despite Brosnan and Marceau giving their best and some decent action, this one is just a slog. Boring script, and it’s bland looking. Weak villain (till the twist) and Richard’s just sucks the life out of every scene she’s in. 3/5

For James Bond day I spent my morning rolling credits on the best Bond game ever made. IO interactive made this for fans by fans. Every chapter, every trophy, every detail is pure 007. 5/5 my 2026 GotY and it’s not even close.

For James Bond Day. My complete physical collection (in progress) and my full updated ranking (also in progress as I’m rewatching)

FTW. Throughly entertaining. Sanada is mesmerizing to watch and you can see why he became such a legend. It’s tonally messy with a funky jazz soundtrack. Good fight choreography. Genre tropey as all hell but a fun watch. Chiba is in fine form as expected. 4/5

Rewatch. I love this one more and more every time I see it. Brosnans best Bond performance. His most “classic” Bond film. Huge set pieces. Loads of fantastic action. Over the top villain and Yeoh is top 5 Bond girl. Superbly paced. 4.5/5

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Rewatch. My second favorite Ritchie. Only held back by CG issues in the climax. It’s relentless. Grand in scope. Ritchie’s rapid fire dialogue and editing used to perfection. Action packed. Powered by Pemberton’s God Tier score. 4.5/5

Statham Rewatch. Absolutely ludicrous, over the top and fun. Zero substance. Kirby steals the movie. It’s relentless, action packed and stupid but entertaining. Statham and Rock’s banter wears thin but Elba is a fun villain and everyone seems to be having a blast. 3/5

Rewatch. Brosnans stellar debut. The film that got me into Bond as a franchise. Perfectly paced. Great villains. Superb set pieces. Brosnan fits the character like a glove. My second favorite Bond film. 5/5

Love ungentlemenly warfare. One of my top Ritchie films

010

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

FTW. More Statham. More Ritchie. Really don’t see the hate on this one. It’s fun, efficient with some solid action. Hartnett is great and Statham pulls off some solid stuff. Knows what it is. And I enjoyed myself. 3.5/5

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

It kinda came and went. It’s recently kinda popped on prime but I’m the Ritchie nut so I bought it sight unseen. Glad I did.

010

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Man this was marketed terribly. It’s classic Ritchie dialogue/editing for the first two thirds before turning into an action packed tactical operator as shit third act climax and it rips. Cavill, Gyllenhaal and Gonzales have insane chemistry and are smooth as silk. 4/5

152

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Nunn and Adkins deliver a banger of a trilogy ender. The most impressive from a technical and set piece perspective of the series. Great fight choreography and legit tactical work just add to the experience. A great lead performance by Adkins as usual. Better than 2 but not as peak as 1. 4.5/5

032

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Rewatch. Incredible action and effects can’t save an absolute dumb as fuck script, stupid characters and it being about 20 minutes too long. I have so many issues with just basic elements in the movie. But Bay delivers on the action front. That’s it. 2.5/5

250

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Finally after much delay I’ve finished this. Not as great as Resurrection imo and it gets alittle too busy and crowded in the third act. Great iteration of the Riddler but also does alittle too much setup for Batman Returns. 4/5

050

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Rewatch. Watched the complete cut. The best adaptation DC has done. Trims the excess into a god tier Batman film. Weller is sensational as Bats/Bruce and the adult aspects are kept in and handled perfectly. Drake’s score is incredible. Top to bottom; Peak. 5/5

Rewatch. Pure nostalgia for me. I still remember being 5 and seeing this in the theater. The emotion. The action. Is it good? I honestly can’t say but I adore it. 3.5/5

010

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

FTW. Solid to pretty good for the first two thirds then the third act climax kicks and in. Hot damn. Shameik Moore absolutely wrecking some of the most vile white racist fucks is chefs kiss. Graphically violent, well directed, solid needle drops. 4/5

030

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

More Statham. Relentless. Solid acting especially Statham and McShane. Utterly ridiculous car combat with a real sense of stakes. Also real ass practical stunts. Fucking banger. Love this one. Big, dumb and loud. 4/5

130

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Not the train wreck I expected but also the weakest of the series so far. Great performance by Neve and Cox but surrounded by lame-ass characters and the worst killer reveal of the franchise. (Seriously wtf) Some phenomenal kills though which give it a boost. 3/5

030

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Yes Mic Gordon absolutely crushed it with Doom and Eternal but Finishing Move more than proved to be his heir with Dark Ages and Revelation. Until it is Done in particular is one of the best Doom tracks ever. Period. Also Blood Red

041

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Rolled credits on this little gem of a game. Batman’s entire history is represented in some way. Gameplay is simple yet addictive. One of my favorites of the year. Now time to collectible hunt and wait for the dlc.

Nearly 20 years later and still a banger. Outstanding special effects and action. Solid characters. Tight pacing and script. That score. Chefs kiss. Peters still iconic voiceover. (I cried hearing him again tonite). Second best Bayformers. 4.5/5

030

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Rewatch. Still one of my favorites of the year despite issues like a non existent plot/zero stakes but it’s so charming, fun and downright genuine and gorgeous. A love letter to not just Mario’s history but Nintendo in general. Give me that Star Fox film asap 4.5/5

030

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Typical Genre/Statham tropes but handled with solid direction, slick & brutal action (night club climax is fantastic) and a damn good Statham performance. He’s so in his bag for this one as a Depressed/wounded former badass. 4/5

250

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

More Statham. Long, melodramatic and brief overly edited action is barely saved by a solid cast. Statham gives an honestly great performance as if he stepped it up in presence of DeNiro and they’ve got chemistry. Owen is a solid. 3/5

020

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

With Priscilla on Highlander. One of my favorite films ever. I own and have seen every episode of the show. However I have seen the sequels. Quickening is terrible and Renegade sorta saves it. 3 is not good like at all and Endgame at least had great action. Don’t watch Source. AT ALL.

020

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Still flip flop between the 3 for my favorite but it’s Pegg’s b best performance period.

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Like the first season, takes some bold swings with the mythology and villains but unlike s1 It didn’t all work for me. Riddler and joker in particular just felt too drastic a shift. Great action however but the finale felt rushed. 4/5

As a fan of the OG comic run I’m very happy. Minor quibbles here and there but for how dense the comic run is. They nailed it

Chris Barreras @gingerdome81.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

They pack a lot into 79 minutes and it’s just about as close to an adaptation as they can get. Superb and violent action. Great voice cast. Finally they did one of my favorite Bat stories justice. Huge recommendation. Bring on KnightQuest! 4.5/5
