Finished the Trails in the Sky FC remake, what a fantastic remake it was, I have my issues but even then that's mainly on the new localization's side not Falcom's. Nightmare was on the easier side this time around but still had a few decent challenges throughout.

10. Thunderbolts* i did not actually have plans to watch this movie but I was invited and I'm glad, this one was actually good, I really like Yelena here and the usage of the villain and the themes was really well done, most of these guys didn't really get much though, Yelena is clearly the lead

9. Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition Still one of my favourite games of all time, wonderful game, it may not have the strongest story of the series but it manages to shine in every other aspect and also have really strong thematic ties to the gameplay loop in the story

8. Trails through Daybreak 2 I very much loved this game for what it was, extremely good in the character writing front for returning and current main cast characters, better music than 1 and a fantastic finale even after the very weirdly paced act 3 (which I still generally loved)

7. Metaphor Refantazio Atlus pulled it off amazingly and I honestly still can't believe it. Very well made, avoids most issues persona falls into and the cast is very good, no main character I didn't like. The villain as well is quite probably one of my favourites in recent years

6. Sonic the hedgehog 2 (game) Better than the first game in every way and the 2 act structure over 3 acts for most zones works a lot better. Though some of these zones are still not exactly amazing

5. Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty This game does a lot of things really well and while it is overall really well written, I had so many issues in how the game writes endings, not just for the base game and DLC but also for the quests. A lot of these felt like they were written to force a bad end

4. Sonic the hedgehog 3 (movie) The best of the 3, a ton of it coming from the villain side with Shadow and Ivo. Really appreciated the screentime given to those 2 and while there were scenes near the end that I would not have put in there due to tonal whiplash, it doesn't take much away from it

3. Sonic the Hedgehog (game) First time actually finishing this game, it's definitely fun but level design is not really the best, Marble Zone is extremely rough to be a second zone and generally doesn't do much in a standout way outside of the music

2. Sonic the hedgehog 2 (Movie rewatch) Generally better than the first in most ways, with some really nice interactions between Tails and Sonic, though I can't particularly say Knuckles was super amazing in this but he's still a fun presence

DATV is not perfect I'll admit but I have genuinely enjoyed every chance I've had to talk about transitioning in this game. It's not super deep or anything but having that option to make my character be able to talk about her experience and help out someone else with their own is kinda beautiful
