Oh no! 😱 Can Wren and Candle escape these giant, magical ants? Run faster!! 🐜🐜🐜 Another visdev painting for my personal gamedev project, The Wishing Stone! I decided to challenge myself with an action scene. I also including some environmental storytelling as well! #art

We’re in a dark corridor. Ruins stick out of the rock, with murals painted on them. On the left mural, two horned figures can be seen facing each other. On the right mural, a horned figure walks beside a giant ant, which carries a rock. In the room beyond the corridor, giant ants swarm atop a glowing pile of blue objects. They pour into the corridor, chasing a pair of figures who run in the foreground, fleeing. The first is a brown haired girl with a blue caplet, pants and boots. She yells and clings to the side of a dragon beast who carries her away. The dragon beast is golden with an orange mane, red horns, and a long tufted tail. He looks back as he runs, panicked. More location visdev for my gamedev project! I explored a bunch of building styles. For the color palette, I landed on making the buildings warm-toned with a few pops of cool tones as accents. This will give me a starting point to create all kinds of pixel #art buildings from these shapes.

More visdev for my gamedev project! Figuring out shape language and colors for the city's buildings. This city is powered by magic, so I needed some magical elements to indicate we're not on earth and help the buildings fit cohesively together. Will eventually use as inspiration for pixel #art.

Here’s my first painting of the year: location visdev for my personal gamedev project, The Wishing Stone! This is Dalterra, the main setting for the story. 🐉 My goal was to work out the design elements of the city, colors and location. I’ll use this as inspiration later for the game’s pixel #art.
