Coach/Assessor:
Age/Level:
Skater Tots
Scoring
1 = Needs significant development
2 = Developing
3 = Competent
4 = Confident
5= Excellent

Strengths:
Listening and taking feedback

Skills to Develop:
Learning to Fall small and safely
Getting low and feeling confident on your skates
Goals Before 2nd Assessment:
for safety reasons must learn to fall small to keep everyone on the track safe
skating control, being comfortable on your skates.
Coach Comments:
Love seeing the passion you have for the sport
we need to work on you staying low which in turn will help you develop each of the other skills
Overall Assessment: X Beginner • Developing • Ready for Progression
5 Notes
Tall, and if you squat down
just needs to stay low and we need to make sure that you use that glide to help move you forward.
crossovers are not smooth need to glide into them more
needs to skate faster and within control.
Is not stable at all
was not able to completely stop at all need to turn the feet
Not a safe faller, falling to one knee at times back leg kicks out behind. Want to fall small and get up quickly.
could be a safety concern for ankles, and for others around her.
fell during these and needs to work on a balanced glide and staying low
not smooth stay small and low on this skill set need to continue to work on staying low and derby stance.
not smooth stay small and low on this skill set was not able to finish due to hard fall when falling be aware of others skating by as there were times that you could kick your skates out and that can take out other skaters.
safety for falling small to fall properly and safely.
