Wrote a short thing (1k words) about Hamber visiting Gibeon's chambers for the last time. Has canon LuciRys (in the context of vague mentions of Rystal being pregnant) and Gibeon with one-sided feelings for Lucius that Hamber knows about. privatter.me/page/689071e...

With a heavy sigh, Hamber pushed the button that opened the door to Gibeon's chambers, and slowly walked inside.

The door shut behind him with a familiar, quiet whoosh.

The room was empty except for Hamber himself, and the Zygarde cell that resided in its cube which Hamber carried on him at all times. The cell popped its head out of its cube, which was in the pocket of Hamber's suit jacket, and looked around eagerly, as if it was happy to be home.

Without the wheelchair in the middle, the person who occupied it, or the person's loyal Pokemon beside it, it felt a lot more spacious than usual.

Hamber silently walked over to one of the corners and tapped on a panel that made a screen appear. The screen turned on, showing a prompt to enter a password.

Nobody but Hamber knew the password to this computer now. Solemnly, he typed it in on the touchscreen.

LuciusRystalGibeonExplorers

The wallpaper was a familiar photo of three friends, taken long ago. Digitising it was a task Hamber himself had done, at the request of one of the subjects.

That subject was Gibeon, his boss. A man whom Hamber respected more than he respected anybody else. The man who had saved him from despair.

In fact, Gibeon had asked Hamber to digitise all of his records from his days adventuring with his friends -- the Lucius and Rystal included in his password.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: AMETHIO TOMORROW!!!!! TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

010

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 31/07/2025

-I hope we get SOME info from Crave. Maybe Amethio's mother's name. Maybe a hint that her death was more than just a traffic accident. I'm not expecting much here but I doubt Hamber's gonna say anything about Gibeon's family so Crave is my only hope!!! -Feel sorry for Crave tbh

CURRENT THOUGHTS: -Post-timeskip Amethio is everything I wanted and I love his design... He looks so much more like young Gibeon now I'm so happy -Sad about Ame's family. There was an official tweet that said those photos were taken on their one and only family vacation :(

Convinced Sordward and Shielbert from the Sword & Shield epilogue are based on Trip and Virus from DMMD Is this a joke? Perhaps

Modern Pokemon fans would NOT survive The Electric Tale of Pikachu lmao (Pokemon fans at the time barely did to begin with and that's even when it was censored) bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/The_Ele... (This manga is great purely for canon KojiMusa ngl)

The Electric Tale of Pikachu

The Pokémon illustrations in this manga are not based on the official artwork by Ken Sugimori, and so many appear to be more/less stylized in comparison.

000

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

Further crack theory: Amethio's mother found out the truth about Rakurium but died before she could tell Gibeon the results of her research. However, she did tell Crave... who hid the truth from Gibeon because he didn't want Gibeon to be even more broken than he already was by her death

010

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

Crack theory: there's some hidden room behind the giant portrait of Amethio's mother and it contains some secret about Rakurium that was stowed away upon her death

Wrote something where Amethio, along with Hamber & ZirConi, go with the RVTs to the Crystal Pool and they summon Ame's mother. Probably completely OOC and most of this is unlikely but I haven't written in ages so I just wanted to have some fun privatter.me/page/687f71a...

Ngl I don't even care that the stuff with Liko's Carbou is forced okay I love Carbou and Soublades and Gurenarma lol (Soublades is legit one of my fave Pokemon now)

010

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

I know it's forced but I do like that Liko's Carbou is interested in the one in Amethio's childhood photos and presumably then wants to go and track it down... I'm sure it gets told that Carbou's now a Soublades but I think it's cute that Pokemon recognise others in their species

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

I know in the 104 preview it looks like Amethio doesn't have his loop-tie but he could still have the pendant in his pockets or something... I have a feeling it's important somehow okay

010

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

And uh I guess they manage to do so and it does something cool and sparkly and lets them inside because it's all part of the same gemstone that Gibeon gave to both his daughter and Amethio as a protective charm or some shit Then they go and fight Spinel probably

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Ame: Maybe... Maybe *this* can be used to get in? Grandfather entrusted me with it, and he told me it was of great importance to the family... Roy: Yeah, that might work! They then try searching around the outside of the area to find somewhere the pendant could fit

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Uruto: Hey, Yamirami, I've told you not to do that! Ame: ...Wait! Amethio then recalls a scene from his childhood where Gibeon gave him his loop tie and the pendant. In his memories, he can hear Gibe telling him something about it being important, but not what was actually said

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Liko: Surely there's another way... Roy: Yeah, I can't see someone as smart as your grandfather not setting up another way of getting inside. Friede: Do you have ANY kind of ID? Ame: No, nothing valid Yamirami then starts trying to grab at Amethio's pendant (which it does often of course)

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

The group then heads off to investigate the facility but they can't get in because they need to prove they're part of either the Explorers or Exceed, and Amethio has been removed from those lists because of Spinel claiming he's dead.

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

but then Friede quickly asks "Do you remember what colour his hair is?" and she says "Ehhh my eyesight ain't what it used to be. Maybe... green?" And so they figure out it is indeed Spinel.

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

It turns out she thinks he's Gibeon because of the purple pendant on his loop-tie. Amethio asks her if anyone strange has been around lately and she says "Oh there's been a handsome young scientist doing some research nearby". Initially, everyone just assumes she means Gibeon,

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

The old woman seems to have forgotten things... until she sees Amethio, who she thinks *is* Gibeon. Friede tells Amethio to go along with it because it's easier that way so Amethio pretends to be Gibeon returning to the town and asks her some questions.

110

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

HZ fanfic idea: Once the RVTs have rescued both Amethio and Friede, they all head to Kumuri Town to get more info out of the old woman who remembers Gibeon because Friede has learnt (somehow) that Spinel's operating out of that base.

120

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Imo post-timeskip Amethio is 15 or 16 but Pokemon character ages never make any sense so I have no idea at this point He could be anywhere from 14 to 18 and I don't think we'll ever know exactly how old they're wanting him to be (other than that he's a teenager)

Diana/Hamber is a cute ship idea too... I'm still camp "Hamber is Lucca's dad" until proven otherwise actually

130

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 19/07/2025

(I ship other things too. I do like LkDot, AmeLk (depending on how it's handled), LuciRys, LuciRysGibe, RoyUru (yes), MoliOri... HZ has a lot of good ships)

020

Hannah / ハンナ @gibeonapologist.bsky.social · 19/07/2025

My top 3 Horizons ships are: -Age gap m/m ship that is questionable but ultimately fun and would be the younger guy pursuing the older guy (who would be very concerned but also flattered) -Dead old man yaoi that's permanently one-sided -Cute m/f coworkers who grow closer due to the kid they babysit
