I bought a ticket and saw DIGGER last night. My take (if somehow you need another take on this movie) is that it's neither as bad as some are saying nor as good as others are saying. What begins as a broad and not-so-funny farce about climate disaster adds layers […] [Original post on sfba.social]

one for the Trekkies 🥲 Michael Forest, who guest starred in an "OK"-level episode of TOS but turned in a memorable performance as the Greek god Apollo. Also responsible for one of the best moments in the original series blooper reels. #StarTrek

We mourn the passing of our friend, actor Michael Forest, who left us this week. Born Gerald Michael Charlebois, the man who played Apollo on Star Trek was 97. Michael indulged me by posing for this photo in 2022.
(Photo shows the actor in his 90s, gripping a model of the starship Enterprise, as his character Apollo did in the original series episode "Who Mourns for Adonis?"
