As much as I love the Astaroth design, I did not enjoy my HG Astaroth, I've had issues with other HGIBO builds, but this is the one that made me go, I don't like this Gunpla line.

No I get ya, I've skipped a few releases back in the day cause they weren't entirely up to snuff, the original mass production Gelgoog 1.0 is so wrong it warps around to weird enough that I want it.

I checked to see if the 1.0 had the thrusters or not, and yeah they still have the thruster bells, I think the closest you'll get to the actual animation Zaku is the older HGUC
