OpenAI employee speaks positively about the product they sell and negatively about their purported competitor. Disappointing but not that surprising...

Unfortunately this seems a necessary constraint at this point... If planning arXiv postings with more advance than two years ago is the price to pay to have less slop on the platform, then I think most people will happily take that deal.

Quoting Cory Doctorow, "AI can’t do your job, but an AI salesman can convince your boss to fire you and replace you with a chatbot that can’t do your job". We must mobilise and loudly make the policymakers understand what our job actually is.

"Experts" means the *one* philosopher you queried for this piece, or was somebody else asked for their expert opinion? E.g. a neuroscientist, computer scientist or similar...

Surely this is not the first attempt at solving the issue? This looks to me as an obvious attempt to escalate the problem and use political pressure… Unless you know/think they wouldn’t try to do this in private first?

By “proper” you mean a launcher rest? Those are also never used on recurves, since they don’t work with clickers. And you don’t “train” your sight on a sightless bow - especially if you are a beginner… You sound like you are used to compound bows, where what you say makes more sense. WAF rulebook:

That is a Core recurve bow, not concave; it does have an arrow rest (at 0:06 you can see the arrow *not* sitting on the riser), and a string peep is either useless (if shooting without a sight) or forbidden by FITA rule Ch22.1.5. Also, target distance of ~10m is fine for kids or beginners.

5 seconds in and a 2nd grade grammar mistake in a title (nevermind the awful graphic). The writing is predictably bland and uninspiring, too.
Screenshot of a headline featuring the grammatically incorrect expression “Un storia a puntate”. The word “storia” should be preceded by “una”, in the female form.

Luckily there are a lot of projects looking to commercialize these reactors, indeed - and I was wrong, China has an [experimental one running](en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TMSR-LF1) right now. The US experimental ones (ARE, MSRE, see en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molten-...), however, never burned thorium…

Thorium salt reactors have the slight inconvenience of not existing for at least a few more years, see [this nice video from Kyle Hill](youtu.be/BcoN2bdACGA)...

I would not lose confidence in Wikipedia over this: factual statements have to be sourced, and basically any entry of some relevance is constantly checked. Moreover, edits for most controversial topics are disabled until an experienced moderator checks their sources and approves them.

That's disappointing to learn - but this seems a temporary, very specific problem caused by a platform migration. Overall the SNCF app works fine? According to [the article you cite](www.lefigaro.fr/voyages/cons...), this only affects about 5% of cross-border trips anyways...
