It is qute nice. I'll probabl give it 'till the end of the year before looking to move on.

Shit. This is the wrong house. I did think it was slightly weird she had all these pictures of a random couple everywhere.

Although arguably still better than the landfill it was headed for.

Can you do me a favour and bang on the wall? It’s just I’ve been hiding in the attic for three years now, and I suspect I may have the wrong house.

My 6th birthday, somebody bought me a Lewis Carroll collection. it seemed more interesting than the party which was way too loud for reading, so I left, went down the alley and read it. Everyone was looking for me, god knows why, I came back when I'd finished, it's not like I forgot where I lived.

I don’t use Twitter for the same reason I don’t swim in cesspits. Sure you can rebrand it as anything you like, you can write endless articles claiming the benefits, or tell me it’s kinda fun if you can ignore the bigger turds. but it’s still just a receptacle of shit.

Personally I think for the safety of those with vision impairment they should emit an alarm sound as well. A bit like a lorry reversing, a simple repeated loop of “beep, beep, this pervert is recording” should do it.

It’s still amazing to boot up a 360 or PS3 game from two generations back and remark on just how far we’ve come. I think it’s at least half an inch.

It should have been The Running Man. I just really hate contrived reality.

Noel Edmonds did 26 episodes of Top Gear. Kate Humble was a presenter for two seasons. Personally in a perfect world I’d go with Diane Morgan, Hannah Fry, and Louise Cook as the new presenters. Just for the fun of it.

I really enjoyed the new line up on The Grand Tour, but then I liked Throttle House so I wasn’t going into it blind, and mainly knew the Francis fella from the Astronaut thing he did for C4.

Hunted is awesome. “I think I spot them over there, is that them?” Well I think the camera man behind them is a bit of a giveaway. It’s like Race Across The World, where shots are clearly contrived and make no sense when you stop to think about the set up.

And as they’re a little annoyed they didn’t come up with the concept of “The Traitors” they’re hoping their own show “The Yacht” can replicate the success with something they can license out. Yeah, good luck with that one.

Also if you love Strictly, there’s a whole new Strictly show they’re spinning off. Which will no doubt saturate the schedule as much as the main show does.

I’m always late with entertainment news but just read that the BBC are currently flogging a reboot of Top Gesr, not surprising as it’s one of the shows that traditionally brought in a lot of money internationally. Also that the new host is Jimmy Carr. Apart from a punny name, I just don’t see it.

Usually if I want to play an updated version of a Spectrum game, I’ll just play the Amiga version (where available). And when it comes to “reimaginings” I’m yet to find one that sparks my interest.

The North Yeovil Community Centre can get like that at times. After a few bottles of scrumpy the talk will inevitably turn to tractors.

So many games from the 360 catalogue were unfairly overlooked in favour of the well known triple A releases. Very unfair. So much so that Bloggo has unearthed a few for your consideration. Maybe you know them, maybe you don't. Are they worth your time now in 2026? youtu.be/UNMX6OAVJ4A

I stand firmly against corruption. Unless it benefits me, in which case you have to understand it’s a complex issue, and you’re just not grasping the bigger picture here.

I have one in the garden, it was left by the previous owners, I think it’s designed for kids, because I tried using it and it couldn’t even run Doom, so I gave up and went on the slide instead. Which I guess is what any genius would do.

I remember hanging off the edge of a cliff with one back in the early 90s, it was heavy as all fuck. Kids these days will never understand the complete disregard for personal safety required to get a 14 second blurry video of a bird nest.

I abandoned mine on the complete worldwide history of video games. I might look into if there’s something else I can do with it down the line. But there just seemed like little point in continuing with it.

Why is GenAI a scam? Because even at its best it can only ever be successful if it can convince you that it’s something it is not. That’s its whole thing, it wants to be indistinguishable from the types of work it was trained on. Deception is part of the design. And most folks don’t like that.

I think Bsky has pretty the same flaws as every social media platform, but what it has over X is those flaws arre pretty much inherrent to the medium, not enforced and exacerbated by the owner.

The primary use cases where AI would service a genuine need, are also the use cases that don’t generate massive amounts of wealth. Which is all the companies behind it are interested in.

I was a teenager and they did follow a basic fetch/carry/drop formula, so it tended to be pretty straightforward.

And that’s not to downplay the former, but at least with that you can simply not buy the product, and when it fails, lessons will hopefully be learned, but it is important to reject it, the slow creep can quickly gain pace if left unchecked. Fighting the latter is so much harder.

Yes AI seeping into your hobby is disheartening. But honestly, AI seeping its way into aspects of your everyday life, from government down, where your choice is removed and participation is mandatory, will always be exponentially worse.

When it comes to safety I prefer a system based on possibility not probability. But both remain more beneficial than a system based on “bad shit will happen, but it will be worth it for all the fake porn you can produce of people you know.”
