Hard to single one out specifically, but I'd nominate the Discworld series

it worked for Thomas Mallory
Photo of a page from Le Morte d'Arthur by Thomas Mallory.

"Chapter 25: How Arthur by the mean of Merlin gat Excalibur his sword of the Lady of the Lake

"Right so the king and he departed, and went until an hermit that was a good man and a great leech. So the hermit searched all his wounds and gave him good salves; so the king was there three days, and then were his wounds well amended that he might right and go, and so departed."

As a video game art book enjoyer I'm very glad I took the time to put it together (along with Kiefen, the team lead, with whom I shared captioning duties). We even got a short run of physical copies done for the team, which came out great.
A close up photo of the front of the physical hardcover version of the art book. The Monothetic logo and name are highlighted in a raised 3D varnish against a dark, almost black background.A close up of one of the pages from the physical book, showing promotional art of the main character from Beacon, Freja. An overhead shot of a full two-page spread from the physical book, introducing Haven, the cancelled project that Monothetic worked on before Beacon.Another overhead shot of a double-page spread from the physical book, this time showing concept art of enemies from Beacon.

My favourite project from last year: a big ol' art book for Monothetic, the indie dev that made Beacon (and I was part of). The team officially closed up shop at the end of 2024, and I put this together to go alongside the final build of Beacon on the Internet Archive (archive.org/details/beac...)
A 3D render of the finished artbook alongside other items included in the collection uploaded to the Internet Archive.A double-page spread for the start of the Beacon section of the artbook. It uses the iconic (to me) key art from the game across the two full pages, with a strip down the middle of the right-hand page displaying the logo and title of the game.Another spread from inside the artbook, this time focusing on the promotional art created for Beacon.A final double-page spread displaying the many icons used within the game, laid out in white against a dark background that covers each entire page.

Dark days
Photograph of a dark misty morning in Dorset, England. The shot points down a twisting dirt track with trees and bushes rising up on either side.Another photo from the same morning. Now the trees have risen such that they're almost forming a vaulted ceiling above the track, which is fallen into deep shadow.

Absolute horror at finding out that my colleagues have been taking my "Hiya" in work chats as a friendly greeting and not the karate noise I intended
