#steelers #NFLDraft I am hovering between B and B+ for the Steelers draft this year. I love so many of the players that were taken for what they can do and help the team like Max, Bernard, Dunker, Wetjen, Nowakowski and Heidenreich, all are fantastic at what they do well.

I don’t want to trade Baty but I also want to play Maurício. I would rather trade Vientos but how do we fill the RH bat hole if we trade Marte too. If we trade Acuna who Is that speed mi. I trust in Sterns so I will stay quiet And let Him cook. He is clearly smarter than I am 😀

I agree but which one. Vientos has been complaining a bit and if we Trade Marte (I think we will) we will not have a good RH bat off the bench or at DH. If we trade Acuna we do not have the late inning D replacement or speed off the bench. We are not likely Trading Maurício for Robert Jr.

not sure he tips any scale really. What we gave IMHO was not much. Not sure Gilbert was part of the long term plans with the glut of OF we have in the minors. I wish him great success in his career and hope he becomes a star. If we want to Win now we will Need a guy like Rogers far more than Gilbert

I don't think he got mugged at all. If you think any of these 3 will become all-stars or solid long term starters ok. Mets got a valued late inning set-up man that they desperately need and gave up talent that is replaceable.

The shock is 2 top 12 but when you drill down, no disrespect intended, none of the prospects are ones that should because high level MLB players. They all should be in the majors but non will be difference makers. I am totally cool with the trade.

It is still a problem, even though we have significantly improved our Prospect pool. Most of them are not really ready so major injuries will be difficult to handle

Here's the thing, and I may be off so forgive me, If we kept and signed Dobson we possibly could not have signed Romanov to what we did, we would not have brought in Drouin either. So Dobson for Romanov, Drouin, Heineman, Eklund and Aitcheson. Feeling a little better about it #Isles

I know that at this point int he offseason we need things to talk about. Judging by what the Steelers are doing it shows they think they have a shot at competing this year, losing Watt alters that though and negates all the veteran adds they made. I get the frustration, if there actually is any

That would be a Dream scenarios, too early to tell, of course, but I imaging Sellers will be a top 10 guy. if he is not then that means his performance in this upcoming year would be less than desired I think. all this is way too early but good to have a base to start thinking about it

Also, the money for Ramsay and Minkah are not taht far different from one another. we also add a terrific receiving option in Smith who know Arthur Smith's system well and can help Muth and Washingto in it as well. We may be a playff team now and if you are in the playoffs you have a shot.

I was not a fan of Rodgers but is he better than Russ, yeah he is. we will try for our Franchise QB next year in the draft. Slay's contract is 1 year, we had cap space to burn so it does not affect us at all moving forward and we got a good veteran CB who can give guidance to JPJ and Trice.

If we are able to move 16 and 17 along with an Isaiah George or Ruslan to get Hagens. I will be happy. I rather not lose those players but Heineman looks like a legit bottom 6 forward, Hagens can be a line 1 or 2 C. Schaeffer will Be a top Pair D. Not a terrible day in the end if this happens

Don’t get me wrong I really like Heineman gives me Clutterbuck vibes maybe better he can help solidify line 3 for a long time and provide physicality. He can be in the power play and penalty kill. Also has a pretty decent shot to boot

Matthew Schaeffer is the absolute right choice, a fantastic player and person who will be a cornerstone for the franchise. Ali in on taking this kid 1. We will likely be mid next year but this should be bigger than next year, and reshape/rebuild the franchise. This kid is a great first step #Isles

I am not really worried about if he plays or doesn’t play. Is he better than Rudolph. Sure. But it is a 1 year deal. 2026 draft or bust at this point and weirdly Rodgers gives us the best chance to make the playoffs. Not a good one but the best one of what we have. Still not user If he does not play
