Thanks to Duolingo if everyone could speak Spanish at the rate of a child, I'd have a chance of understanding, but unfortunately real people speaking normally in conversation are just too super fast for my brain to catch all of it and stitch it probably into a sentence

If an attrotious act is committed by a member of a marginalised group, report is simple, clear-cut, 'good v evil' with lots of details, but if the same act is committed by someone in the dominant (ethnic or cultural group), then suddenly there's multitudes of complicated factors incl. mental health
