GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 04/10/2026And now the editing begins... Sometimes I wish it was all super quick and easy, but then I know my process has deliberate choices made for each photo, one at a time. It's gonna take a while but I'm ok with that, feels worth it to be intentional with each one, even if there are more than a few 090
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 03/10/20266hrs of sleep is enough to get up and do it all over again? Right? At least now I won't be photographing as the light is fading. 0180
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Been a long day, but might s well do a few quick edits while parties rage outside the window 📷 Pentax K3 mkiii monochrome 3270
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I will endeavor to find a situation where I need that before adding more to a camera bag already too full Goals 010

GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Someone relief to it and then we all saw it and like me didn't check the time stamp 🤣 (fucking rookie mistake, sorry) 010

GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 01/10/2026There was a moment when I thought it would keep building into one of those spectacular mornings. But this little tease was it, within minutes the color faded... Just a brief nothing moment... Grateful to be present to see it... 0200

GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Great idea! This sounds like a perfect exercise for @riphotoarts.bsky.social analog Saturday meeting. 010
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Similar problems but def better. Was widely used as a low pressure tubeless tape early on. I suddenly used the thick clear stuff as base tape on the 50mm 29+ rims (before going to carbon, but that only saw 12-15 psi. 020
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Oh I love that idea/challenge, hasn't heard that before. 110
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Full disclosure, just raised the 'uncropped' is somewhat cropped vertically to match the aspect ratio of the other two but... Most of the change from 3:2 is overage on the top, the sky specifically. Forgive the unintentional oversight 2190
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Oof, there's so many better, positive ways you could convert that point. That's solidly somewhere between cringe and facepalm 120
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026And tire beads get stuck, tires don't want to come off... It's something most people learn the hard way. 020
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026It's soft and very flexible and tubes will press through the valve holes, the adhesive also migrates. Electrical tape might just help keep the room clean but also won't do what rim tape needs to do, hold shape over valve holes and not move. 130
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Sidebar: duct tape (even 2 layers) as rim tape... Has a few significant drawbacks, esp over time. 450
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Well West Coast schools did it too, Cali as well. Def a limited market but fuck all it was not just in the movies... 100
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 30/09/2026And that's tho near, there's a few who did the turtleneck, the popped collar short sleeve polo over that and then a full button down Oxford over that. Not to mention likely also having a sweater draped over the shoulders or around the waist. Ok, upon reflection, this 'style' needs to stay there 120

GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Yeah - it is tough. Genetics really determine your cholesterol baseline, and higher across the board just may mean that is your normal and it is safe an your body is just shuttling more cellular repair stuff around. I'm sorry you're dealing with all this - best of luck 010
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Pretty sure you've covered this with the people who care about FF vs those who don't 😁😉 010
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026in theory butter is better - butter doesn't lower your HDL levels (supposedly) but margarine does. That said the whole cholesterol thing is crazy and I don't thing it is still very well understood (reference my brother, a 40 year vegan w/same cholesterol numbers as me the sat fat meat eater) 210
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Right, sorry, you did point out pixel pitch but on first read I felt like it was missing/under emphasized on that specific detail - and that's on me. I suppose it is more common now to have the same pixel pitch everywhere due to processing and data management than it used to be. 120
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Margarine is famous for being the biggest trans-fat product around. AKA partially hydrogenated oils. Makes them shelf stable and mostly solid at room temp. But generally considered very bad for your health (esp if the goal is to manage your HDL/LDL balance) 110
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026SNR (sensitivity/DR) goes up with larger sizes of the wells on the CCD/CMOS, more photons per pixel/time. But yes - smaller wells can give you more resolution but at a cost to sensitivity. Given equal sensor design. 110
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026They USED to, pre-Amazon. I think their standards are probably slipping along with the rest of the industry TBH. But yes they still likely have slightly higher standards but still sell lots of avocado oil and the sugar that's more processed than HFCS (agave) 330
GeWilli @gewilli.bsky.social · 29/09/2026yeah - see my note about international olive oil regulations and grading (it was a deliberate inclusion) 110
