Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 20/01/2026Yeah, "Wave of Mutilation" was my bit, while "What Lice Beneath" was someone else. For my efforts, I was featured as an old pervert who gets rather gruesomely dispatched by a swarm (wave?) of the mutilating lice. 020
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 27/07/2025I saw Ninja Assassin in Manila. The cinema itself was enormous. It was also air conditioned. There was a fair amount of chatting during the film. I suspect a lot of people went there as a cheap way to get out of the heat. 010

Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 08/01/2025I've not been particularly active here of late and, while that's unlikely to change in the short term, I figure I need to do something with words. Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 08/12/2024A great weekend, tinged with sadness. Caught up with some old friends over great drinks in cool bars. Lost a very old friend, who I'd not seen in years, to the ravages of old age. Devoured delicious comfort food. Caught a mate's band at a little local venue. That'll do, pig. That'll do. 020

Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 02/12/2024The weird thing about leaving the Bad Place is I've had very little impetus to post much of anything. To be fair, I'd not been particularly active over there for the last few months either. I seem to be content to observe, given I find myself getting far less angry over here. 350
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Now that I've essentially abandoned The Awful Place, I'm already feeling more relaxed. I wonder if I'll translate that into spending more time doing that bloody writing I keep promising myself I'll do? 050
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 07/11/2024For those playing at home, the rissoles, mash, and broccoli were delicious and were paired with a gin and tonic because it's 85% humidity. Kid loved them too. "Dad, they're mostly beef but then there are other goodies. They're like a Kinder Surprise egg!" 020
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Here is some good, banal news which I think is very important you are all made aware of. I am having rissoles for dinner tonight, for the first time in well over a decade. I am quite excited about this. 161
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 06/11/2024Aaand I've already seen folks who like to pretend they're sophisticated lefties complaining about Albo congratulating Trump on winning. Apparently they think the way to help Australia through the next 4 years is by just constantly calling Trump a cunt. 001
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 18/10/2024Those of us of a certain vintage remember that WinAmp had a visualiser thingy, creating "trippy" graphics to go with your music. Why don't modern music and radio players have that? It's ancient technology now and a lot more interesting than an album cover or radio station logo. 140

Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 04/07/2023As this thing starts getting popular, one has to wonder how many celebrity accounts are real. For example @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com clearly is, but @ememess.bsky.social looks like a fake (no profile picture, no posts). 000
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 04/07/2023To be fair, I also have a lot of opinions on GOOD writing, but I seem to have been exposed to a significant amount of, at the very least, disappointing writing of late. That stuff where you had high hopes early on, but the bed was beshat before the lights went out. 000
Tim @gevauden.bsky.social · 04/07/2023For someone who hasn't written anything of note and has half a dozen incomplete things in a drafts folder, I sure do have a lot of opinions on shit writing. 120
